jumped for joy when I saw Host Club listed~ It hasn't even aired yet and I got

of a lot of shows But I'm so hyped about this show because I own the first 5 volumes

And why dosent it surprise me that there`s no coordinated effort on this whole
elite thing? You`d think they`d divide up the galleries(alphabetical, join
order, something similar), and then hand out chunks to each mod. That way the
quick ones can help the slower ones, and everything can be assured as
done.
I was talking to bromit, and it sounds like each moderator is going through in a
different order. Fairly typically inefficient. I do know that my and kuri's
galleries have been gone through, while, say, yours and my sister's
hasn't.
And alphabetically speaking, that makes no sense: kuroimisa, omni, Makhan,
Teryon.
Meh, I joined AP, but purely to exploit them as a means of acquiring scans and
pretty pictures as a community, they strike me as waaaaay too high-handed and
snobbish, makes me just wanna b*tchsmite them sometimes
and Im betting they`re going through galleries in alphabetical order, either
that or I truly suck! nah, this
whole elite thing has got everyone up in arms, and I think its mostly due to
people wondering if they`re good enough.

well the elite gallery doesn't exist as a link just yet, but when you look under
a thumb it should say in italics "This item is in the elite gallery"
(you know where under the thumb it says something like Copyright of artist and
yourusernamehere) on the left.
But yeah, I didn't like the overall attitude of AP... like I mean, sure their
system is really efficient [they had their own Sandbox-like place ... Session
Zero methinks? and approval by mods before items went through] but it seemed
such an unfriendly place. I've read through all the comments people made as
well... some were quite good... others were quite unhelpful and even more spam
than those I've seen here. But yes, I did go through the site, read it through
and decided that I would never want to sign up for it... there's just something
about it that I don't like... arrogance perhaps? No idea.

One artist on Mt who comes to mind is Clap who produces wonderful doujinshi (and
it's obvious the guy does it himself because of all the watermarks and recurring
style). His descriptions are empty (like ... or even a .) because well, he
mentioned that his English wasn't very good.
It's always kinda nice to have a description... but it's also nice to let the
work speak for itself. I guess it should depend on the artwork and artist [but there
is no point in judging a work based on its description... come on... some people
might spend more time writing the description than making the thing]
I don't think they've added the option of viewing it alone yet, since they're
still going through the gallery to figure out which ones are "elite"
and which one's aren't.
God, you think MT is stuck up, and then you praise AP? Animepaper is, as far as
I can tell, even worse than DA, and with even less reason to be.
Furthermore this is MT3. The old one was
MT2.

Most of my walls made the cut, though a couple that I expected to be in there
weren't. The first one was something that got a favorite from belmikry, and I
thought that would have pushed it in for sure, even though I wouldn't have put
it in myself. I'm willing to bet the second one that didn't make it didn't get
in just because it had virtually no description.
Is anybody else irked by the need for all the walls' specs in the descriptions?
I mean, if a wallpaper is good, it's good; it doesn't matter what techniques
were used or how long it took.

well apparently the mods decide what goes and what doesn't... but I'm still just
baffled at the criteria of what goes in and what doesn't. Sure they might not
have finished the process yet- but the elite gallery is up and runnin'
alright.

"this item is in the elite gallery" or something like that under the
main thumbnail you click to download.

I actually do like the AP system because it does make sense... but I also didn't
like the arrogant FAQ they had... they had something like "and if we
rejected your wallpaper, suck up your shit and go figure why" ...
yeah.
Really, it's the segregation thing that might make people not really like the
system: what makes this elite; what makes this not elite?
And they mentioned not deleting any wallpapers... and then later in the thread
they said something about poor quality items still being deleted... so if the
former were true, I'd feel sorry for those medium quality wallpapers that don't
make it into the elite because of that tiny bit lacking- if the latter is true,
then the elite gallery doesn't fix the complaining problem: as far as I can see,
people will still complain about their deleted items AND complain why their
wallpapers aren't in the elite gallery.

some elite gallery (the howl of a loser XP).

submitting it to the gallery. It forces members to improve in order to have
their work seen by the community.

the last stages of MT3 but with an additional upper class snobbery. Will we have
to enlarge the entrances to MT to account for the swelled heads of some of the
new 'elite' members?
This elite gallery thing is over my head at the moment. Even one/two of the
first wallpapers I've ever made is in the elite wallpaper (and this was when I
didn't even know how to extract... so I find this kinda funny) gallery. [they
belonged to the Jpop/Seiyuu/Idol section... and consisted of the first TWO
wallpapers I ever submitted to Minitokyo when I didn't want to do anime
wallpapers...]
The only thing that didn't make it was the MOMENT wall I did, which I find
ironic, because the quality was really good, considering I used a vector. It's
maybe not original (but then I've seen many sparklies in the elite gallery
already anyways )... but I'll blame it on Rah's vector XPPPP Kekekeke jk jk jk and
Rah if you're around check your PM
I suggest everyone to to their own galleries and have a check on what got moved
into the elite gallery and what didn't... because this is just plain confusing

crap wallers than leaving it the way it is to me. I'm not even too concerned
with straining the rest from the best, but throwing everything else together
seems like a poor decision.
Then again, the MT staff isn't exactly famous for planning their updates.
