Coukd someone else comment? Because I snagged a site: http://free.1gbfreehost.com/terrawall/
and am just finishing up the "Never made it to mt" walls and am about
to start the "Deleted from mt walls" I'll do the ones that are already
deleted first, but I would appreciate the second opinions -does anyone think
some of the walls I posted are really good enough, despite breaking one or 2 mt
policies?
@k1ru
This really isn't a matter of people liking the walls, heck, I LOVE LOVELESS ~ Memories by
Terra-chan And I would prefer not to delete it, but it DOES break mt policy
by being made out of screenshots.
@Terra
i havent check them all cos i have online 24 hours before... xD
i'm soo craze~ xD
well, i think you have to do what you want to do... if you think that the
wallpapers are goin to be deleted by the mod, i think you should deleted them
before the mods... and if you dont want to delete the wallpaper, dont do it...
^^
ps. i like this one: Akira-kun ~ Japanese Ninja by
Terra-chan
btw, is that site for your wallpapers? i think you can choose them, but dont use
filexoom. i have registered once and seems like the links that they give doesnt
work...
@misa:
a year? that was long time... @_@ why dont you make it in 6 months? that wasnt
easy to check the posts, right? hooo~
yup, i hope sheq do it... remove the thumb when the walls quarantine...
@Rah
Thank you, this site is helpful, but I'm not sure about how much I'd need...
@UA
Can you help me choose one that's right for me? *checks the sign-up pages and
forms but does not sign up*
http://www.xoompages.com/ This site
seems nice, has a lot of space and a 20mb upload limit/file doesn't hurt me
since wallpapers generally aren't more than 2MB I'm not sure about the traffic
though... Is 10gb okay...? If my site had 500mg of content would that mean only
20 people could see the whole thing a month? It seems to have a few different
actual site plans when signing up... One option (1001megs.com -
Unlimited Traffic/NO ADS/Free board/Free Guestbook/Free Form mailer/Free Site
Builder (Capacity 19/4,000)) said "No Image Only sites" and
directed me here: http://www.filexoom.com/ Another 2 options
(gigcities - 5,000 Megs
Storage/10,000 Megs Bandwidth/20mb File Limit/And MUCH MORE(Capacity
39/4,000) and 5000megs.com - No ads on user
pages/5,000 megabytes space/10,000 megabytes of bandwidth(Capacity
232/40,000) and xoompages.com -
Advertisements/5,000 megabytes of space/10,000 megabytes of bandwidth (Capacity
14,000/15,000)) doesn't give much information, but follows up the same plans as
the main with what looks like no divergence.
@ .... O___O;;; *looks around and does a general thing*
Oh noes people @_@ I'm just damn moody I'm
so sorry
I didn't mean to lash out or anything~~ the points I was trying to make
basically was that maintaining the page wasn't really under my belt in the first
place (changing page html somehow became... not really a habit... but... anyway
) and
the fact I'll be going into exams means I'll have to drop off. I might not visit
Mt or UA in the next few days. In the meantime, it would be good for all the
other admins to have a discussion about what you feel is important: pages,
criteria, what to write on the page and how to write/ put it on the page. It's
just it all has to be on the page and not make the page super long- perhaps
write it in a different font colour or font type so it'll stand out. But yes, I
might disappear for a while @_@
As for a free webserver, it really depends if ads annoy you or not Terra There are
plenty of those 100megsfree.com websites... or you can try your luck at http://95mb.com though once I tried it and it didn't
work
[and there's the 50mb for free etc etc O__O]
I'm guessing this is one of my last posts for the next week or so. My name might
pop up in the member index because I'll be checking up every now and then- for
now it's adieu and I bid you all good organisation
And Rah, as I mentioned, it's fine. It's nothing to do with me handling html or
anything like that. There'll be a time when I need to access it, but it just
went all mush *__* It got to a stage where jobs got all too confusing. But if
you're happy with me handling applications, I'll swap over a role with you (or
we can ditch the whole management title thing) and I'll whip up the authority
>D
I'll post here the member criteria~~ as for reasons to join, you people can
decide that for yourself, because chances are I romanticised the group
1. AT LEAST A SUBMISSION OF ONE GALLERY
ITEM
We don't care if it's doujinshi or vectors. We want to learn from you, and
hopefully in turn can enlighten you with our knowledge. We want to share the
love. Everyone is welcome. 2. WATCHLISTS OF BEARABLE SIZE
Bearable size will be determined by the Moderator in charge.
Watchlists generated on purpose are unacceptable. Those under circumstances
beyond control are exempt, conditionally by the Moderator. 3. NO MORE THAN 3 TOP SUBMISSIONS (having your
wall appear in the top subs within one week of submission) UNAIDED BY A
HIGHLIGHT
This is self-explanatory. If you are highlighted you can't help the exposure.
If you can still make it to the top subs without a highlight (most likely
through watchlists) you do not need any more attention. 4. MAKE A POST IN THE GUESTBOOK SAYING YOU
APPLIED AND WHY
It makes our life easier and somewhat earlier to judge your application. 5. BE ACTIVE IN THE GBOOK OR YOU'LL BE
ASPIRED
If you do not respond to UA notices or post in the gbook for up to a year, you will be PERMANENTLY
aspired.
This gives you the liberty to leave our group, instead of us having to delete
you.
To regain member status, simply be active again, and the Moderator in charge
will most likely go through your application once more. To avoid this, simply
make a post once a month or once in every blue moon. Keep your membership
status. HOW YOU ARE JUDGED
The Moderator in charge will post you a message simply notifying you that we
have received your application.
The Moderator then downloads ALL of your gallery items in FULL VIEW, leaving gallery comments where possible.
Comparing the quality and favourites you received, the Moderator will make a
judgement of whether or not you qualify for UA.
In most cases, you qualify- unless you are MAJORLY friendwhoring... or have no
gallery items. A DESIRE TO IMPROVE AND HELP OTHERS is a
PLUS.
Please ask any questions in the gbook or apply even in doubt. We're here to help
DISCLAIMER:
These criterion change ALL THE TIME.
It is suggested you keep track of UA by being an active member.
If you don't keep up, you can be aspired anytime without any warning.
Maybe that needs to be shortened a bit, but that's about it for the mean time
Copy, paste, edit, paraphrase~~ it's all yours to change and do whatever with
Once again I'm very sorry if I sounded like a monster

@k1ru
I missed this part completely *__*
As for quarantined items I think they are quarantined about a month or two. Now
they have been permanented purged from the system, whereas before they weren't
deleted from the database completely
Unfortunately the thumbnail stays- for example, if you only had one wall and you
deleted it, even when the gallery item is gone, the thumb still stays on your
userpage D: But they'll be fixing that up soon... I hope @_@
@UA
pardon my abscence my fellow ua friends. i was called in to assist my brother in
a medical emergency at his elementary school. luckily, i was able to get there
on time and helped with his pre-asthmatic symptoms, and shortly after we rushed
him over to the local childrens hospital. the fact that schools cannot do
anything without a guardians signed approval is ridiculous, and i don't know
what i would of done if i hadn't been able to make it on time. but luckily i did
and he's doing fine now. :']
i notice that quite a bit has happened since i have been gone and i'd like to
take the time to address these items if i may.
@misa
upon reading your posts, i cannot help but feel guilty about making you
"flup out." i by no means intended to remove your work. i had
originally commented out the iframe to address all of the coding that had
mistakes i found here and there in relation to the new standard i chose to use.
my previously unedited code can prove this but still, i am very sorry about the
feelings i brought up in you at such a horrid time, seeing as i personally know
what you are currently going through in relation to your academic studies. i
never intended to remove this information at all. the new code i posted up was
just to test how it turned out in everyones browser which i would later edit
once again to implement the iframe.
aside from the coding, i never disagreed with you being involved in the
admission detail. in fact, i always welcomed the second opnion when i myself
couldn't make a decision. so if you would want to go ahead and envelop yourself
in the admission, by all means be my guest. i do hope that since i have time now
that i can still be involved in this process though, but if you don't want me to
intervene then i won't.
@k1ru
like i said earlier, there is nothing that we, the admins of this group, hide
from our members. so there is no need to worry about secrets.
@Evo
to tell you the truth, i was never really in charge of the site maintenance and
if i can recall correctly, that job was originally Terras to begin with. i only
decided to step in because of the changes that have occured in my life and
seeing as i took the liberty of cleaning up the code, i could do a pretty decent
job of maintaining it.
as for making the offsite home for the UA it's already been done, but i don't
see why another would hurt. you can find mine, though not completly updated, here. i just recently found the
link to this and my other flash site for the UA which can be found here. like i said earlier, the aren't
up to date, but if you like you can also make your own.
@Terra
i take it that you would like a free alternative to the pricey cost of running
your own server, right? if that's the case, may i suggest you use this
little search engine. it may not be the best, but if you look hard, you can find
a decent host. just make sure to find one with a large file uploading size and
unlimited bandwidth. they always worked for me.
@UA
that will be all from me today. goodnight all.
@misa
The fact that the iFrame was such a color was such a bright color was one
problem... the other problem is that it constantly glitched and jumped from side
to side in my browser was another. I never meant to insult your work. So I
suppose I'll try to summarize it and work it out then.
@k1ru
Lazy? looks more like you used up your 5 freebies aa for LOVELESS ~ Memories by
Terra-chan low-quality vector? It's COMPLETELY screenshots. I actually went
to the mt irc chat to show it off because I was so proud of it at the time but
they said it was a bad wallpaper because it was grainy and used screenshots -
this event actually made me want to start vectoring - resulting in the vector
screenshot combination walls and started me on the path of vectoring ^_^ But
they are my first attempts and I'd like to keep an archive of them, but I can't
say they should stay on mt.
@UA
So anyone have any suggestions for a good site to store my defunct wallpapers
on? It would be nice if it had offsite linking and clean organization (I could
use ImageShack, but it's messy, and Photobucket shrinks things.) So anyone have
suggestions?
Ok since this matter really needs some serious attention and misa seems to be
getting very unhappy about it (and quite understandably so) I will step in as my
role as querie genie and restore some peace and happiness to your little family
before we all kill each other in a bloody horrible murder suicide deal.
While the white and green text box was blinding and sometimes gave headaches it
also peak interest in what was on there. When i first showed up I went and
highlighted the text just so I could find out what it was. Plus it also stops
people from just joining without reading the rules. Good way to find out those
group whorers who really have no interest in UA's policies. The other point of
that box was so it stopped scrolling. With our announcments and comps it does
take long to scroll down to the guestbook to check out posts while they
compacted it so your mouse scroll finger doesnt cramp up as much. Seriously that
was a great idea on misa's part.
As for website matainance for the last comp and for part there of for this one I
have been putting the entries up. I didnt know I was able to do this until misa
told me (im very sorry if that </centre> tag was mine ) I havent
worked html code for about 3 years so Im kinda rusty but have been doing lot
more on it latley. With Rah being away for periods of time (he is the one noted
for site mantainance) the site tends to lean towards misa for updating. So to
solve this problem I will do all the site matainence for comps, results,
everything. My dsl will be back hopefully in 2 weeks so I can get ontop of it
cause even access MT atm is killing my connection.
And on the topic of site matainence I put a call in for UA's Comp 9 to be judged
even if its by the members so we can move it off site. I will even set up an
offsite page on my isp webspace for it just so we can move the old entries over
to there since Comp 8 results have been up there for ages and the page certainly
needs to be freshened up a bit.
On the last note if everyone is happy with me taking over site matainence I
would like to put in my last begging and pleading with misa for at least the
groups guidelines so I can write up new revised rules. I wont use any of your
work or cut and paste on it I just need the selection criteria so I have a guide
to go by, or I can just go through the guestbook and try and decipher between
all our talks to find out what they are.
Hopefully this will solve alot of problems and make everyones life easier (plus
I get to contribute to the group)
@Rah :
well, i'm dont feel like i'm left out~ i know that there is some things that
staffs cannot tells the member... ^^
well, the iframe box's text are makes my eyes blind, but as misa said, we can
highlight the text... actually i want to complain about this at the beginning,
but i realize that we can highlight the text... that's why i never complain
about the bible... xD
@misa:
do you mean that if we have 3 works that stays on the most popular box without
highlight we have to go? nice decision... ^^
ow yea, i wanna ask you a qs, about quarantine works, how long the admin will
delete it? ya know about that?
The fact that I took up the time to type up those pages and specifically put
them in a frame meant that they should stay in the frame because that's how they
were designed to be.
The first time when the frame was removed from the page I took a while restoring
it and tweaking the UA page when I could have been doing other better things.
The next time when it was still removed
after I had restored it meant pretty much the following:
- my work was not appreciated in its original context
that is, it was in a frame
- Nobody's going to read these obscure text links connected to other pages
- I was not asked if the frames and pages could be taken apart, considering I
own those pages.
If the new criteria and guidelines are written up casually, that doesn't matter:
UA was never some sort of business corporate like group- we're a really casual
bunch. The main idea is that when members come to the page, the first thing they
can see is the criteria.
It doesn't matter how HARD it is to read, chances are if they skip over to read
it, it shows they don't genuinely want to join the group.
If you really wanted to join a group, you'd read it no matter how hard it is.
If you were extremely clever, you could read it through other means:
highlighting the text, which is the main reason why I let the text stay that
colour.
All in all, you people can now decide how you want to write the pages and make
sure that it's legible or whatever. You can do whatever you like with the new
content: purely because it's yours.
Now that that's aside, I'm very pleased that UA admins have gotten active again,
so I don't have to worry that much about the group.
Since I won't be touching any of the pages etc. I think I will safely decide
that I'll take up the job of moderating the UA applications if that's fine with
everyone else. (Zat okay with you Rah?)
There are two reasons for this:
- Moderating UA is a nice job. I don't really have too much time to do anything
crazy.
- Moderating UA applications require credits to download whole galleries. I have
plenty of credits- well, that's a bit of a misleading statement, but it'll have
to do. Let's just say I can afford lots and lots without having to worry about
gaining any credits back.
Of course, I'll still stay as administrator
I might need to fiddle with some things such as the PM members get when they
first apply to UA.
If anyone objects to me handling applications, just give a shout.
On top of that, I'm not going to announce anything for UA until next March. That
way, when I do, I can aspire all those inactive members.
Hope I don't sound too harsh or anything like that~ if I do, I sincerely
apologise.
I think it's a good idea to have all the criteria rewritten anyway... I have a
feeling some people might have read it, but failed to understand them. Hmmm. The
only request I have is to keep it simple. Nothing fancy. But make it
comprehensive (enough).
You can't adjust the settings of an LCD laptop screen though so there's nothing
I can do about brightness.
And I think people expected things from you because
1. You are our leader and the one person that every person in this group can
honestly say that they look up to.
2. You are very eloquent and buisness-like with your writing, so it's very much
like a "letter of the law" when yo put something up. If I were to put
up the UA credo in my own words it would come off as being flippant and
accomodating.

I've been thinking and I'm considering to delete some of my poorer wallpapers...
I'd also like to make a gallery of my older, lower-quality walls.
I don't know where I should post such a discussion other than here (We talk
about everything to do with mt here) And I'd like some feedback as to whether
you agree or not with some of the pieces I plan to delete - I want to delete
some because I have a feeling that one day it'll probably be deleted anyway in
some cases.
Your screen is too bright, not that my colour schemes are blinding.
@ people
I quit writing ANYTHING up for UA.
You all people make up the rules and maintain the page.
It was NEVER my job in the first place- I don't even know how it even
happened.
And I'm removing ALL those pages I typed up, so you people can type them all up
again. I don't want to see ANY copy and paste from what I've written. I want to
see the new pages and the content written from SCRATCH.
And I'm NEVER going to touch the UA html code ever again because it's not my
job. On top of that I'm not even gonna close that </center> tag someone
forgot to close.
If I see TUA instead of UA I will flip.
In fact, I'm flipping right now. For reasons I will not mention.
But I'm not pleased. That's a fact.
@misa
nooo misa, you have it all wrong. i don't want to get rid of the information,
just that iframe. what kind of fool do you take me for, i'll never do such a
thing.
might i add that i kind of got carried away today, considering that it was
father's day, and i never really got around to putting the content you worked so
hard on making back up. rest assure though, i will put all that information back
up, but i kind of like this new layout better. but yes, I
WILL BRING BACK THE UA'S BIBLE IN A FEW HOURS. :] i need my beauty sleep. @_@
in relation to the banners, thank goodness for alt text right? now there no need
for me to replace that one banner. but i guess
i have no choice if i want to please all you non firefox users. ._. i can stand
the little red "X" though. but i'll
change it.
as for the contest results, what i meant to say was trasnfer all that
information that's eating up bandwidth to my off Mt site, and just have the
results from the previous and current competition on the page. would that be
alright?
but thank you for the comments on my coding. [hands
over a muffin]
@Terra
i think the color scheme was made that was to draw attention to it, but at the
same time, it can cause a reader to go blind. i don't see
why i can't update the colors to a darker tone tone though.
@misa
hey! how about including this iframe informaion in a table. then we can still
have the same effect minus the scrolling. don't mock
me, it's 4am. :[ lol, i need sleep. ._.
I think the annoying thing about that box is that it CAN'T be read... it's pale
green text on white! I'm BLINDED!
As for the favorites thing... I suppose... my highest # of favorires is 42, and
that is on my one and only HIGHLIGHTED piece of work - and that's a vector,
though I do have several elite pieces of work, most of them are also vectors,
only 1 of which is a wallpaper. My highest number of faves on a wallpaper is
25.
And a lot of my walls are still crap... I only have a few diamonds in the
rough...
I also think I've been spoiled in having practically all (but not ALL all) my
recent vectors put into the elite galery... I feel
like I did in Junior High School when I was .2 percent off of being on the
Principal's list
[edit] Oh and that ifram ALWAYS glitches on me I'm going
to fix it hopefully in a way that can be accepted by everyone.
And Misa... PLEAS on those offsite links use a different color combination! It's
burns my eyes with it's brightness!
That big WHITE iFRAME was the official UA Bible with all the selection criteria
and information. Members are encouraged to READ that white box. There were
several links down the bottom and now it got removed!
Well now I'm going to put it back up there
Eurgh.
Why would you want to get rid of it? Just because it was a different colour, or
because it was in the way of the code? Either way, it cannot(!) be removed D:
If it's gone, people will automatically apply thinking we've slackened our
policies or complain blah. In fact, I'm going to be even stricter on the fact
that people HAVE to read that box, because I'm shocked at the number of
wellknown artists applying here like they haven't read a single thing thinking
they'd get acceptance!
Otherwise, nice cleaning up of code
@ Rah
1. About those dead groups we either:
a) regain those images.
b) replace those more dead groups with a text link instead of a banner.
2. What contest result thing? That page linked off the page which is a tiny
little link with all that stuff on the one page for the past entries?
You can just write something up like that
But I ain't uploading anything.
@ Terra
The aims of UA are now more competition and just photoshop based.
We still have a limited acceptance of those due to favourites versus
QUALITY.
Just because X can't use photoshop for nuts doesn't mean they get direct
entrance if they still get like 50 faves per wallpaper because that's
ridiculous. No offence or anything, those people don't need any more exposure
and if they wanted to get help (like REAL help) they'd go to the
Sandbox.
Now that the white box has been put up again, it's really quite simple:
3 walls in the top favourites (that is the most POPULAR in a week) WITHOUT
HIGHLIGHTS means good-bye. I made this up because of the March discussion we
had. Most people agreed that if there was exposure you wouldn't be able to help
people fave your work. And most highlights are of decent quality anyway so we're
not too concerned with members gaining recognition they deserve. We're still
concerned about those gaining favourites when they shouldn't.
I think UA was strictly going towards a goal of getting into the top submissions
(this was right at the start), but it'd still be impossible to get there unless
1) Your work is highlighted and 'in trend'.
(this has happened with my of my wallpapers... 3/5 highlighted submissions
stayed in the top submissions for a mere few hours and then died... simply
because they were too crazy)
2) The top submissions are removed from the frontpage- only highlights are left
on the front page
(the other 2/5 highlighted works of mine were in the top submissions right at
the beginning of Mt3 when only highlights were featured on the front and all the
sparkly stuff was hidden on another page. And they stayed there for at least 48
hours)
3) You get lots of friends/ watches.
In a way, UA is going to almost evolve into something like a NWP: "doing
art for the sake of art", because there's no use in adopting our original
aims because they are
1) Outdated
2) Impossible unless those 3 criterion mentioned above are implemented-
We're still a pretty humble group in the Mt community and we get invited to do a
whole lot of competition work and all that. For now, I think competitions and
Photoshop tips will just have to be the way to go.
And adding onto our weekly topics, I can't see why we can't evolve into some
sort of wallpaper philosophy discussion panel
Of course, if this doesn't fit anyone's fancy we'll call another group
discussion and get peopel to chip in their 2 cents... because that's how we've
been functioning since the start.
As for being 'kicked out', I have a fair idea of what it means to be kicked out.
At first I was wondering if I should be, but I decided that I shouldn't be
because:
1) Some of my really good works (good quality etc) have been overlooked. One
that comes to mind is Y15.540- I think that I deserved a LOT more.
Even my Uncertain Memory wallpaper (though vector credits go to Rah) should
probably be in the elite gallery due to quality. I don't know if it's moved now
and frankly don't care, but it's better than a lot of other Tsubasa Chronicle
things.
2) I still have a lot to learn
3) The only works that got into the top subs were my highlights. Nothing
else.
That proves how much I have to rely on highlighting or other means just to get
more attention.
4) I don't have like 300+ people watching me. I think I have a lot, but most of
them are dead- or stopped responding to my notifs because I never comment on
their work or add them to my watch Oh they are
so economic when it comes to these things.
In fact, it's quite interesting that I get most favourites and more comments
from PASSERBYS than people who watch me.
So in essence it's like I have a watchlist... that doesn't even do anything. And
I liek it that way.
Hello all I've been dead for a while... exams. I still have 2. Not happy, Jan
@k1ru
aww, don't feel left out. i would list all of the changes i made, but i can't
quite put my finger on them. i was lost in the code.

one more thing...
@fellow admins
issue #1
what will we do about thoes affiliated groups who:
a. seem to have died
and
b. are missing banners
issue #2
what are we going to go about the contest results? will it be fine if i just go
ahead and trasfer over all this and other information, such as the stuff in that
frame [insert shady look here] to our site off Mt?
@k1ru
does it really look better than before? thank you, but it's weird because i just
cleaned up the code and only changed a few minor things. for instance, all the
headers match each other now... and umm... yea.
as for what the judges do, they in fact judge the entries to the biweekly
contests; aside from the members of the group to obtain an unbiased decision.
@_@
now then, about who won competition #9, i wouldn't be able to tell you.
however, when Terra gets around to counting up the votes she'll be able to
enlighten us. :]
@Evo
wow, we wen't from stunt driving on broadband to parallel parking on narrowband.
no pun intened.
@Terra
ahh yes, that frame. if it
was up to me, i wouldn't bring it back, but i'll do so later on today.
about your status in the group though, i don't think you should worry about
getting "kicked out." ^^ in fact, all of you reading this shouldn't
worry about getting "kicked out," but when the time does come,
consider it as a promotion. :] but in the meantime, no one is getting promoted,
so don't worry folks.
i know i may not have answered all of your questions Terra, but since the
decision to promote our members is basically mine, unless there have been
changes , you have no reason to worry as of yet.
XD when misa is done with her finals, i'm sure she'll come set the record
straight. but once again, "fear not, no one is getting promoted...
yet."
@TUA
that about sums everything up for now. ^^ i must now return to my coding. ._.
We need to put the membership guidelines back up on the page html... But what
was it all again? I've been starting to think about because my vectors have been
getting very popular, though I only have a few wallpapers that are successful...
and this is a walling group first, right?
3 of my most recent walls have such good ratios... but I think it's partially
due to the popularity of the series.
So what is the determination of "Underappreciated" now? Most of my
wallpapers are still like 1/2 a fave a week in ratio... and how long should a
wall be up before the favorites are taken seriously? because new walls tend to
get a bit more exposure than older walls... *worries* I don't wanna get kicked
out...
i just finished cleaning up all the other code for my other two groups, and let
me tell you it was not a fun experience. on top of that, someone tell me why i
feel that cleaning up this code will kill me.
OMG, screw the Mt customized validator script. it ticked me off so bad a few
hours ago. >[ it kept giving me an error that said, "body: event
attributes not allowed," which is moronic because i had no java in my code
what so ever. i was fighting with this thing for over an hour trying to figure
out why my script validated under the xhtml srtict guidelines but kept failing
here on Mt. the answer was the more idiotic errors i ever ran across, it turns
out that if you have the word "on" in any of your tags, or in a
<!-- comment -->, the Mt validator would freak. can anyone take a guess
what was causing my delima? it was the freaking word "on" in one of my
comments. how dod i know this was the cause you ask? because i kid you not when
i tell you that i switched the word "on" in my comment to
"with" and low and behold, it validated. I HATE THE SCRIPT SO BAD!
>:O!
sigh, forgive me for my rant. i just had to vent, sorry it was here.

Coukd someone else comment? Because I snagged a site: http://free.1gbfreehost.com/terrawall/ and am just finishing up the "Never made it to mt" walls and am about to start the "Deleted from mt walls" I'll do the ones that are already deleted first, but I would appreciate the second opinions -does anyone think some of the walls I posted are really good enough, despite breaking one or 2 mt policies?
@k1ru
This really isn't a matter of people liking the walls, heck, I LOVE LOVELESS ~ Memories by Terra-chan And I would prefer not to delete it, but it DOES break mt policy by being made out of screenshots.
@Terra
i havent check them all cos i have online 24 hours before... xD
i'm soo craze~ xD
well, i think you have to do what you want to do... if you think that the wallpapers are goin to be deleted by the mod, i think you should deleted them before the mods... and if you dont want to delete the wallpaper, dont do it... ^^
ps. i like this one: Akira-kun ~ Japanese Ninja by Terra-chan
btw, is that site for your wallpapers? i think you can choose them, but dont use filexoom. i have registered once and seems like the links that they give doesnt work...
http://www.free-webhosts.com/reviews/1GbFreeHost.php this one looks nice..
@misa:
a year? that was long time... @_@ why dont you make it in 6 months? that wasnt easy to check the posts, right? hooo~
yup, i hope sheq do it... remove the thumb when the walls quarantine...
@rah:
okay, i get it~ xD
@Rah
Thank you, this site is helpful, but I'm not sure about how much I'd need...
@UA
Can you help me choose one that's right for me? *checks the sign-up pages and forms but does not sign up*
http://www.xoompages.com/ This site seems nice, has a lot of space and a 20mb upload limit/file doesn't hurt me since wallpapers generally aren't more than 2MB I'm not sure about the traffic though... Is 10gb okay...? If my site had 500mg of content would that mean only 20 people could see the whole thing a month? It seems to have a few different actual site plans when signing up... One option (1001megs.com - Unlimited Traffic/NO ADS/Free board/Free Guestbook/Free Form mailer/Free Site Builder (Capacity 19/4,000)) said "No Image Only sites" and directed me here: http://www.filexoom.com/ Another 2 options (gigcities - 5,000 Megs Storage/10,000 Megs Bandwidth/20mb File Limit/And MUCH MORE(Capacity 39/4,000) and 5000megs.com - No ads on user pages/5,000 megabytes space/10,000 megabytes of bandwidth(Capacity 232/40,000) and xoompages.com - Advertisements/5,000 megabytes of space/10,000 megabytes of bandwidth (Capacity 14,000/15,000)) doesn't give much information, but follows up the same plans as the main with what looks like no divergence.
http://www.free-webhosts.com/reviews/1GbFreeHost.php This site seems perfect, has unlimited bandwidth But it currently seems to have some financing issues.
http://www.free-webhosts.com/reviews/1500mb.php This one also seems like a nice one...
http://www.free-webhosts.com/reviews/GigaHive.php And this one would suit my needs, I'd just put links on my member-page to the uploaded files.
@ .... O___O;;; *looks around and does a general thing*
Oh noes people @_@ I'm just damn moody
I'm
so sorry
) and
the fact I'll be going into exams means I'll have to drop off.
But yes, I
might disappear for a while @_@
I didn't mean to lash out or anything~~ the points I was trying to make basically was that maintaining the page wasn't really under my belt in the first place (changing page html somehow became... not really a habit... but... anyway
As for a free webserver, it really depends if ads annoy you or not Terra
There are
plenty of those 100megsfree.com websites... or you can try your luck at http://95mb.com though once I tried it and it didn't
work
[and there's the 50mb for free etc etc O__O]
I'm guessing this is one of my last posts for the next week or so. My name might pop up in the member index because I'll be checking up every now and then- for now it's adieu and I bid you all good organisation
And Rah, as I mentioned, it's fine. It's nothing to do with me handling html or anything like that. There'll be a time when I need to access it, but it just went all mush *__* It got to a stage where jobs got all too confusing. But if you're happy with me handling applications, I'll swap over a role with you (or we can ditch the whole management title thing) and I'll whip up the authority >D
I'll post here the member criteria~~ as for reasons to join, you people can decide that for yourself, because chances are I romanticised the group
1. AT LEAST A SUBMISSION OF ONE GALLERY ITEM
We don't care if it's doujinshi or vectors. We want to learn from you, and hopefully in turn can enlighten you with our knowledge. We want to share the love. Everyone is welcome.
2. WATCHLISTS OF BEARABLE SIZE
Bearable size will be determined by the Moderator in charge.
Watchlists generated on purpose are unacceptable. Those under circumstances beyond control are exempt, conditionally by the Moderator.
3. NO MORE THAN 3 TOP SUBMISSIONS (having your wall appear in the top subs within one week of submission) UNAIDED BY A HIGHLIGHT
This is self-explanatory. If you are highlighted you can't help the exposure.
If you can still make it to the top subs without a highlight (most likely through watchlists) you do not need any more attention.
4. MAKE A POST IN THE GUESTBOOK SAYING YOU APPLIED AND WHY
It makes our life easier and somewhat earlier to judge your application.
5. BE ACTIVE IN THE GBOOK OR YOU'LL BE ASPIRED
If you do not respond to UA notices or post in the gbook for up to a year, you will be PERMANENTLY aspired.
This gives you the liberty to leave our group, instead of us having to delete you.
To regain member status, simply be active again, and the Moderator in charge will most likely go through your application once more. To avoid this, simply make a post once a month or once in every blue moon. Keep your membership status.
HOW YOU ARE JUDGED
The Moderator in charge will post you a message simply notifying you that we have received your application.
The Moderator then downloads ALL of your gallery items in FULL VIEW, leaving gallery comments where possible.
Comparing the quality and favourites you received, the Moderator will make a judgement of whether or not you qualify for UA.
In most cases, you qualify- unless you are MAJORLY friendwhoring... or have no gallery items.
A DESIRE TO IMPROVE AND HELP OTHERS is a PLUS.

@k1ru
I missed this part completely *__*
As for quarantined items I think they are quarantined about a month or two. Now they have been permanented purged from the system, whereas before they weren't deleted from the database completely
Unfortunately the thumbnail stays- for example, if you only had one wall and you deleted it, even when the gallery item is gone, the thumb still stays on your userpage D: But they'll be fixing that up soon... I hope @_@
@UA
pardon my abscence my fellow ua friends. i was called in to assist my brother in a medical emergency at his elementary school. luckily, i was able to get there on time and helped with his pre-asthmatic symptoms, and shortly after we rushed him over to the local childrens hospital. the fact that schools cannot do anything without a guardians signed approval is ridiculous, and i don't know what i would of done if i hadn't been able to make it on time. but luckily i did and he's doing fine now. :']
i notice that quite a bit has happened since i have been gone and i'd like to take the time to address these items if i may.
@misa
upon reading your posts, i cannot help but feel guilty about making you "flup out." i by no means intended to remove your work. i had originally commented out the iframe to address all of the coding that had mistakes i found here and there in relation to the new standard i chose to use. my previously unedited code can prove this but still, i am very sorry about the feelings i brought up in you at such a horrid time, seeing as i personally know what you are currently going through in relation to your academic studies. i never intended to remove this information at all. the new code i posted up was just to test how it turned out in everyones browser which i would later edit once again to implement the iframe.
aside from the coding, i never disagreed with you being involved in the admission detail. in fact, i always welcomed the second opnion when i myself couldn't make a decision. so if you would want to go ahead and envelop yourself in the admission, by all means be my guest. i do hope that since i have time now that i can still be involved in this process though, but if you don't want me to intervene then i won't.
@k1ru
like i said earlier, there is nothing that we, the admins of this group, hide from our members. so there is no need to worry about secrets.
@Evo
to tell you the truth, i was never really in charge of the site maintenance and if i can recall correctly, that job was originally Terras to begin with. i only decided to step in because of the changes that have occured in my life and seeing as i took the liberty of cleaning up the code, i could do a pretty decent job of maintaining it.
as for making the offsite home for the UA it's already been done, but i don't see why another would hurt. you can find mine, though not completly updated, here. i just recently found the link to this and my other flash site for the UA which can be found here. like i said earlier, the aren't up to date, but if you like you can also make your own.
@Terra
i take it that you would like a free alternative to the pricey cost of running your own server, right? if that's the case, may i suggest you use this little search engine. it may not be the best, but if you look hard, you can find a decent host. just make sure to find one with a large file uploading size and unlimited bandwidth. they always worked for me.
@UA
that will be all from me today. goodnight all.
@misa
The fact that the iFrame was such a color was such a bright color was one problem... the other problem is that it constantly glitched and jumped from side to side in my browser was another. I never meant to insult your work. So I suppose I'll try to summarize it and work it out then.
@k1ru
aa for LOVELESS ~ Memories by
Terra-chan low-quality vector? It's COMPLETELY screenshots. I actually went
to the mt irc chat to show it off because I was so proud of it at the time but
they said it was a bad wallpaper because it was grainy and used screenshots -
this event actually made me want to start vectoring - resulting in the vector
screenshot combination walls and started me on the path of vectoring ^_^ But
they are my first attempts and I'd like to keep an archive of them, but I can't
say they should stay on mt.
Lazy? looks more like you used up your 5 freebies
@UA
So anyone have any suggestions for a good site to store my defunct wallpapers on? It would be nice if it had offsite linking and clean organization (I could use ImageShack, but it's messy, and Photobucket shrinks things.) So anyone have suggestions?
Ok since this matter really needs some serious attention and misa seems to be getting very unhappy about it (and quite understandably so) I will step in as my role as querie genie and restore some peace and happiness to your little family before we all kill each other in a bloody horrible murder suicide deal.
While the white and green text box was blinding and sometimes gave headaches it also peak interest in what was on there. When i first showed up I went and highlighted the text just so I could find out what it was. Plus it also stops people from just joining without reading the rules. Good way to find out those group whorers who really have no interest in UA's policies. The other point of that box was so it stopped scrolling. With our announcments and comps it does take long to scroll down to the guestbook to check out posts while they compacted it so your mouse scroll finger doesnt cramp up as much. Seriously that was a great idea on misa's part.
As for website matainance for the last comp and for part there of for this one I have been putting the entries up. I didnt know I was able to do this until misa told me (im very sorry if that </centre> tag was mine
) I havent
worked html code for about 3 years so Im kinda rusty but have been doing lot
more on it latley.
And on the topic of site matainence I put a call in for UA's Comp 9 to be judged even if its by the members so we can move it off site. I will even set up an offsite page on my isp webspace for it just so we can move the old entries over to there since Comp 8 results have been up there for ages and the page certainly needs to be freshened up a bit.
On the last note if everyone is happy with me taking over site matainence I would like to put in my last begging and pleading with misa for at least the groups guidelines so I can write up new revised rules. I wont use any of your work or cut and paste on it I just need the selection criteria so I have a guide to go by, or I can just go through the guestbook and try and decipher between all our talks to find out what they are.
Hopefully this will solve alot of problems and make everyones life easier (plus I get to contribute to the group)
@Rah :
well, i'm dont feel like i'm left out~ i know that there is some things that staffs cannot tells the member... ^^
well, the iframe box's text are makes my eyes blind, but as misa said, we can highlight the text... actually i want to complain about this at the beginning, but i realize that we can highlight the text... that's why i never complain about the bible... xD
@misa:
do you mean that if we have 3 works that stays on the most popular box without highlight we have to go? nice decision... ^^
ow yea, i wanna ask you a qs, about quarantine works, how long the admin will delete it? ya know about that?
@Terra:
* and the ritsuka's vector doesnt looks really nice...
LOVELESS ~ Memories by Terra-chan - agree, it have a low quality vector and the color doesnt really nice.
LOVELESS ~ Can't Get Soubi Out by Terra-chan - ritsuka are nice, but soubi's piture have a low quality
LOVELESS ~ Can't Get Yuiko Out by Terra-chan - the same, yayoi are nice, but yuiko's picture are low quality.
LOVELESS ~ Can't Get Ritsuka Out by Terra-chan - same
Character Wall ~ Ritsuka by Terra-chan - again, the same low quality screencap *sc are always low quality!
too lazy to see the other...
The fact that I took up the time to type up those pages and specifically put them in a frame meant that they should stay in the frame because that's how they were designed to be.
The first time when the frame was removed from the page I took a while restoring it and tweaking the UA page when I could have been doing other better things. The next time when it was still removed after I had restored it meant pretty much the following:
- my work was not appreciated in its original context
that is, it was in a frame
- Nobody's going to read these obscure text links connected to other pages
- I was not asked if the frames and pages could be taken apart, considering I own those pages.
If the new criteria and guidelines are written up casually, that doesn't matter: UA was never some sort of business corporate like group- we're a really casual bunch. The main idea is that when members come to the page, the first thing they can see is the criteria.
It doesn't matter how HARD it is to read, chances are if they skip over to read it, it shows they don't genuinely want to join the group.
If you really wanted to join a group, you'd read it no matter how hard it is.
If you were extremely clever, you could read it through other means: highlighting the text, which is the main reason why I let the text stay that colour.
All in all, you people can now decide how you want to write the pages and make sure that it's legible or whatever. You can do whatever you like with the new content: purely because it's yours.
Now that that's aside, I'm very pleased that UA admins have gotten active again, so I don't have to worry that much about the group.
Since I won't be touching any of the pages etc. I think I will safely decide that I'll take up the job of moderating the UA applications if that's fine with everyone else. (Zat okay with you Rah?)
There are two reasons for this:
- Moderating UA is a nice job. I don't really have too much time to do anything crazy.
- Moderating UA applications require credits to download whole galleries. I have plenty of credits- well, that's a bit of a misleading statement, but it'll have to do. Let's just say I can afford lots and lots without having to worry about gaining any credits back.
Of course, I'll still stay as administrator
I might need to fiddle with some things such as the PM members get when they first apply to UA.
If anyone objects to me handling applications, just give a shout.
On top of that, I'm not going to announce anything for UA until next March. That way, when I do, I can aspire all those inactive members.
Hope I don't sound too harsh or anything like that~ if I do, I sincerely apologise.
I think it's a good idea to have all the criteria rewritten anyway... I have a feeling some people might have read it, but failed to understand them. Hmmm. The only request I have is to keep it simple. Nothing fancy. But make it comprehensive (enough).
@misa
You can't adjust the settings of an LCD laptop screen though so there's nothing I can do about brightness.
And I think people expected things from you because
1. You are our leader and the one person that every person in this group can honestly say that they look up to.
2. You are very eloquent and buisness-like with your writing, so it's very much like a "letter of the law" when yo put something up. If I were to put up the UA credo in my own words it would come off as being flippant and accomodating.
merged: 06-20-2006 ~ 03:20am
I've been thinking and I'm considering to delete some of my poorer wallpapers... I'd also like to make a gallery of my older, lower-quality walls.
I don't know where I should post such a discussion other than here (We talk about everything to do with mt here) And I'd like some feedback as to whether you agree or not with some of the pieces I plan to delete - I want to delete some because I have a feeling that one day it'll probably be deleted anyway in some cases.
Submissions I think may be deleted anyway
LOVELESS ~ Memories by Terra-chan Reason? It consists of nothing but screenshots and I'm afraid it'll be deleted for that reason eventually, despite the fact it is one of my more favored walls. I actually think it's a nice wall myself, but I worry because it's in the policy "All wallpapers must meet a certain degree of quality, to be unconditionally determined by the moderators. As such, wallpapers such as those that are overly simplistic, in black or white, are "filter-whore" works, or use screen shots are not permitted for submission."
LOVELESS ~ Can't Get Soubi Out by Terra-chan Reason: Screenshots, low quality Vector
LOVELESS ~ Can't Get Yuiko Out by Terra-chan Reason: Screenshots, low quality Vector
LOVELESS ~ Can't Get Ritsuka Out by Terra-chan Reason: Screenshots, low quality Vector
Character Wall ~ Ritsuka by Terra-chan Reason: Screenshots, low quality Vector
Character Wall ~ Yuiko by Terra-chan Reason: Screenshots, low quality Vector
UA#7 ~ Pretty Mad Math by Terra-chan Reason: B+W, poor composition
Akira-kun ~ Japanese Ninja by Terra-chan Reason: Zoom Layer
Walls that might make the cut, but I don't feel confident about.
He's a Player by Terra-chan Reason: It's a bunch of Game CG (essentially screenshots) on a simplistic patterned BG.
LOVELESS Clouds ~ Farewell by Terra-chan Reason: Stock image BG, bad misting effect in front. Low effort
W.A.R. 1-1 ~ A Childhood Promise by Terra-chan Reason: More a picture than a wallpaper, I was never satisfied with it...
Pandect - Ceasar x Ceasar by Terra-chan Reason: Low Effort, it may or may not look like it, but it's the way I feel.
Yoru + Ran ~ Duality by Terra-chan Reason: Low Effort.
T.R.E.C. 1 - DDR Daikenkai Lady by Terra-chan Reason: Unsatisfied
KKM ~ One Soul - Two Lifetimes by Terra-chan Reason: Unsatisfied, Screenshots
So umm... does anyone know a good place where I can post images that won't get resized and has a decent bandwidth and file storage?
@ Terra chan
Your screen is too bright, not that my colour schemes are blinding.
@ people
I quit writing ANYTHING up for UA.
You all people make up the rules and maintain the page.
It was NEVER my job in the first place- I don't even know how it even happened.
And I'm removing ALL those pages I typed up, so you people can type them all up again. I don't want to see ANY copy and paste from what I've written. I want to see the new pages and the content written from SCRATCH.
And I'm NEVER going to touch the UA html code ever again because it's not my job. On top of that I'm not even gonna close that </center> tag someone forgot to close.
If I see TUA instead of UA I will flip.
In fact, I'm flipping right now. For reasons I will not mention.
But I'm not pleased. That's a fact.
@misa
what kind of fool do you take me for, i'll never do such a
thing.
might i add that i kind of got carried away today, considering that it was
father's day, and i never really got around to putting the content you worked so
hard on making back up. rest assure though, i will put all that information back
up, but i kind of like this new layout better.
but yes, I
WILL BRING BACK THE UA'S BIBLE IN A FEW HOURS. :] i need my beauty sleep. @_@
but i guess
i have no choice if i want to please all you non firefox users. ._. i can stand
the little red "X" though.
but i'll
change it.
[hands
over a muffin]
nooo misa, you have it all wrong. i don't want to get rid of the information, just that iframe.
in relation to the banners, thank goodness for alt text right? now there no need for me to replace that one banner.
as for the contest results, what i meant to say was trasnfer all that information that's eating up bandwidth to my off Mt site, and just have the results from the previous and current competition on the page. would that be alright?
but thank you for the comments on my coding.
@Terra
i don't see
why i can't update the colors to a darker tone tone though.
i think the color scheme was made that was to draw attention to it, but at the same time, it can cause a reader to go blind.
@misa
don't mock
me, it's 4am. :[ lol, i need sleep. ._.
hey! how about including this iframe informaion in a table. then we can still have the same effect minus the scrolling.
I think the annoying thing about that box is that it CAN'T be read... it's pale green text on white! I'm BLINDED!
As for the favorites thing... I suppose... my highest # of favorires is 42, and that is on my one and only HIGHLIGHTED piece of work - and that's a vector, though I do have several elite pieces of work, most of them are also vectors, only 1 of which is a wallpaper. My highest number of faves on a wallpaper is 25.
And a lot of my walls are still crap... I only have a few diamonds in the rough...
I also think I've been spoiled in having practically all (but not ALL all) my recent vectors put into the elite galery...
I feel
like I did in Junior High School when I was .2 percent off of being on the
Principal's list
[edit] Oh and that ifram ALWAYS glitches on me
I'm going
to fix it hopefully in a way that can be accepted by everyone.
And Misa... PLEAS on those offsite links use a different color combination! It's burns my eyes with it's brightness!
@ Terra @ Rah
Rah you removed all my info
That big WHITE iFRAME was the official UA Bible with all the selection criteria and information. Members are encouraged to READ that white box. There were several links down the bottom and now it got removed!
Well now I'm going to put it back up there
Eurgh.
Why would you want to get rid of it? Just because it was a different colour, or because it was in the way of the code? Either way, it cannot(!) be removed D:
If it's gone, people will automatically apply thinking we've slackened our policies or complain blah. In fact, I'm going to be even stricter on the fact that people HAVE to read that box, because I'm shocked at the number of wellknown artists applying here like they haven't read a single thing thinking they'd get acceptance!
Otherwise, nice cleaning up of code
@ Rah
1. About those dead groups we either:
a) regain those images.
b) replace those more dead groups with a text link instead of a banner.
2. What contest result thing? That page linked off the page which is a tiny little link with all that stuff on the one page for the past entries?
You can just write something up like that
But I ain't uploading anything.
@ Terra
The aims of UA are now more competition and just photoshop based.
We still have a limited acceptance of those due to favourites versus QUALITY.
Just because X can't use photoshop for nuts doesn't mean they get direct entrance if they still get like 50 faves per wallpaper because that's ridiculous. No offence or anything, those people don't need any more exposure and if they wanted to get help (like REAL help) they'd go to the Sandbox.
Now that the white box has been put up again, it's really quite simple:
3 walls in the top favourites (that is the most POPULAR in a week) WITHOUT HIGHLIGHTS means good-bye. I made this up because of the March discussion we had. Most people agreed that if there was exposure you wouldn't be able to help people fave your work. And most highlights are of decent quality anyway so we're not too concerned with members gaining recognition they deserve. We're still concerned about those gaining favourites when they shouldn't.
I think UA was strictly going towards a goal of getting into the top submissions (this was right at the start), but it'd still be impossible to get there unless
1) Your work is highlighted and 'in trend'.
(this has happened with my of my wallpapers... 3/5 highlighted submissions stayed in the top submissions for a mere few hours and then died... simply because they were too crazy)
2) The top submissions are removed from the frontpage- only highlights are left on the front page
(the other 2/5 highlighted works of mine were in the top submissions right at the beginning of Mt3 when only highlights were featured on the front and all the sparkly stuff was hidden on another page. And they stayed there for at least 48 hours)
3) You get lots of friends/ watches.
In a way, UA is going to almost evolve into something like a NWP: "doing art for the sake of art", because there's no use in adopting our original aims because they are
1) Outdated
2) Impossible unless those 3 criterion mentioned above are implemented-
We're still a pretty humble group in the Mt community and we get invited to do a whole lot of competition work and all that. For now, I think competitions and Photoshop tips will just have to be the way to go.
And adding onto our weekly topics, I can't see why we can't evolve into some sort of wallpaper philosophy discussion panel
Of course, if this doesn't fit anyone's fancy we'll call another group discussion and get peopel to chip in their 2 cents... because that's how we've been functioning since the start.
As for being 'kicked out', I have a fair idea of what it means to be kicked out.
At first I was wondering if I should be, but I decided that I shouldn't be because:
1) Some of my really good works (good quality etc) have been overlooked. One that comes to mind is Y15.540- I think that I deserved a LOT more.
Even my Uncertain Memory wallpaper (though vector credits go to Rah) should probably be in the elite gallery due to quality. I don't know if it's moved now and frankly don't care, but it's better than a lot of other Tsubasa Chronicle things.
2) I still have a lot to learn
3) The only works that got into the top subs were my highlights. Nothing else.
That proves how much I have to rely on highlighting or other means just to get more attention.
4) I don't have like 300+ people watching me. I think I have a lot, but most of them are dead- or stopped responding to my notifs because I never comment on their work or add them to my watch
Oh they are
so economic when it comes to these things.
In fact, it's quite interesting that I get most favourites and more comments from PASSERBYS than people who watch me.
So in essence it's like I have a watchlist... that doesn't even do anything. And I liek it that way.
Hello all I've been dead for a while... exams. I still have 2. Not happy, Jan
@k1ru
aww, don't feel left out. i would list all of the changes i made, but i can't quite put my finger on them. i was lost in the code.

one more thing...
@fellow admins
and
issue #1
what will we do about thoes affiliated groups who:
a. seem to have died
b. are missing banners
issue #2
what are we going to go about the contest results? will it be fine if i just go ahead and trasfer over all this and other information, such as the stuff in that frame [insert shady look here] to our site off Mt?
that'll be all for now. :]
@Rah:
okay, that was okay... I know there is some things that the staffs cannot tells us about... xD
@Evo:
MT is not dialup friendly... that was a reality...
btu it was sad to hear you have to leave for some weeks...
@TUA
PEOPLE! greatness. ^^
@k1ru
however, when Terra gets around to counting up the votes she'll be able to
enlighten us. :]
does it really look better than before? thank you, but it's weird because i just cleaned up the code and only changed a few minor things. for instance, all the headers match each other now... and umm... yea.
as for what the judges do, they in fact judge the entries to the biweekly contests; aside from the members of the group to obtain an unbiased decision. @_@
now then, about who won competition #9, i wouldn't be able to tell you.
@Evo
no pun intened.
wow, we wen't from stunt driving on broadband to parallel parking on narrowband.
@Terra
if it
was up to me, i wouldn't bring it back, but i'll do so later on today.
about your status in the group though, i don't think you should worry about
getting "kicked out." ^^ in fact, all of you reading this shouldn't
worry about getting "kicked out," but when the time does come,
consider it as a promotion. :] but in the meantime, no one is getting promoted,
so don't worry folks.
, you have no reason to worry as of yet.
ahh yes, that frame.
i know i may not have answered all of your questions Terra, but since the decision to promote our members is basically mine, unless there have been changes
XD when misa is done with her finals, i'm sure she'll come set the record straight. but once again, "fear not, no one is getting promoted... yet."
@TUA
that about sums everything up for now. ^^ i must now return to my coding. ._.
We need to put the membership guidelines back up on the page html... But what was it all again? I've been starting to think about because my vectors have been getting very popular, though I only have a few wallpapers that are successful... and this is a walling group first, right?
My best wallpaper ratio is Haruhi and Tamaki Roses by Terra-chan 24 faves in 3 weeks - 8 faves a week.
Then there's Kyoya's Smile by Terra-chan 14 faves in 2 weeks.... 7 faves a week...
THen A Sunset Dream by Terra-chan 12 faves in 2 weeks - 6 faves a week...
3 of my most recent walls have such good ratios... but I think it's partially due to the popularity of the series.
So what is the determination of "Underappreciated" now? Most of my wallpapers are still like 1/2 a fave a week in ratio... and how long should a wall be up before the favorites are taken seriously? because new walls tend to get a bit more exposure than older walls... *worries* I don't wanna get kicked out...
just a quick heya to say im back but i still wont be that active for the next 2 weeks cause im on dialup atm and MT isnt dialup friendly
Rah-san, it was nice, looks better than before... xD
but the affiliate section, looks like the old look is nice~
ah yea, i always want to ask this but i always forgot...
what is the judges do?
and the competition #9, who is the winner?
i just finished cleaning up all the other code for my other two groups, and let me tell you it was not a fun experience. on top of that, someone tell me why i feel that cleaning up this code will kill me.
OMG, screw the Mt customized validator script. it ticked me off so bad a few hours ago. >[ it kept giving me an error that said, "body: event attributes not allowed," which is moronic because i had no java in my code what so ever. i was fighting with this thing for over an hour trying to figure out why my script validated under the xhtml srtict guidelines but kept failing here on Mt. the answer was the more idiotic errors i ever ran across, it turns out that if you have the word "on" in any of your tags, or in a <!-- comment -->, the Mt validator would freak. can anyone take a guess what was causing my delima? it was the freaking word "on" in one of my comments. how dod i know this was the cause you ask? because i kid you not when i tell you that i switched the word "on" in my comment to "with" and low and behold, it validated. I HATE THE SCRIPT SO BAD! >:O!
sigh, forgive me for my rant. i just had to vent, sorry it was here.
