hehehe, i love how you think!

woah, that's a loong post GintheTwilightswords...(by the way, pleased to meet you ^^) but you do make a very good point... you point out the source of the problem... and because of that lack of attention/mention from MT's member, the doujinshis lose visibility... after all, i've never seen one single doujin in the highlight section (now i know there have been some, but they are especially rare compared to walls...) and if they would appear in that highlight section more often, maybe more people would realize that doujin are here on MT and should be praised as well as wall... (or maybe i'm too optimistic??)... as i once suggested, maybe it would have been good to have a different highlight section for doujinshi... but i guess it's not going to happen T_T (me and my stupid ideas... )

anyways, great comment and Doujinshi wo shiji shimashou!

Ello everyone, names Gin ^uu^. As yo can probably see at bottom of my sig, I am a very rampant supporter of doujin.Char asked me to give my views on what I think about how under appreicate doujinshi is on MT,and probably a other places, and I told her I would when I got chance.Anyway, here it goes:

Dounjinshi is away for artist to express their artist skills and love of other people's work by creating different versions of beloeved chartcetsr or making their own creations. There are many artist here that partcipate in that. Many excel at doujinshi greatly, masterfully creating such works that could very become the next big anime or manga and make them high valued arists, while others aspiring to improve their skills for the best while coming out with work with modest potential of excellence in them.Unfortunately, most of that talent and recognition goes unnoticed, especially here on MT.There are so many artists here that partake in two distint branches-doujinshi, and wallpapers- and bopth are broken down into subcatgergies. Most members here are good at walls, some are good at drawing and the such,a dn others are skilled at both.Yet, it is wallpaers that usually get the attention, mostly on part of the graphics, time, detail, and scans used in the creation process that draw people to them in droves. The same could be said for doujinshi,if more people took admiration into the work itself.

Doujinshi, epescially here, usually goes underappreciate from aray of things. For one,if someone's drawing isn't of moderate decore(i.e looks kind of bad or could be better) most don't comment on it.It is the same on the opposite end of the spectrum: if a drawing is masterfully done, few people comment on it for certain reasons, such it dosen't possess the flare and colour of a wallpaper or out of jealousy, seeing how the the drawing is flawless or a brillant piece of work and looks way better than something they could do.These reasons are the things that forsake doujinshi itself and makes it go utterly unseen.

There are some people take in the consideration of doujinshi, such a myself and many others, and appreciate the work, detail, effort that goes into many of the these works. Looking at the drawing and getting a feel of it can allow some deep insight to the views on what was done right, what needs and improvement, and merely saying how much love it.,even if the artist darws much beter than them ( and there are plent who do a better job than me, heehee ^_^ ' ) This type of praise and interest helps give rise to motivate to keep doing their work, perfecting on so many aspects, and evntually achieve a dream of sucess from it ,leading to getting the recoginiton they so deserve.

I believe this group will become a shining beacon to help give the doujinshi artists and others the confience they need and the appreciation they deserve, and also breaking the stigmas that go along with their work.,thus getting more people to reveal in this vein of art along with many other forms.Thank you all for your time :) .Now go forth and support doujinshi!!!!

it's okay, you're forgiven ^^ i was afraid it was my fault... i went into the customization page coz' i'm in the process of redoing my userpage (with the help of Iyasis), but since i have no basic knowledge of HTML i needed to take a look at how it works ^^ but then, i didn't touch the "Done" button nor touched anything ^^

i wanted to introduce myself and tell you why i joined. i know that some doujinshi
artists have a hard time with the cruel policy of MT. the deletion of submissions
made by really dedicated artists is quite unfair. my case is similar. i spend hours
of work on my wallpapers, i know they're not worse than scans or whatever, but
they get deleted. i need your support with comments and favs to receive a
"normal" work valuation, i think my submissions are good enough for that.
so please check out my gallery, esp. if you're FF, suikoden or armored CORE
fan.

thnx for reading, sentrionic

hey there, welcome to mt... hum, not much time right now to go in anyone's gallery at the moment, sorry... but i sure hope you'll do the same with other members galleries coz' we need it as well ^^

EDIT:

Quote by buggydudeGo Doujin! Oh!

I'll post them for you when i get the chance they are just random peeps but it might help. Go Doujin! Oh! and as a side note for a banner i think we should have a doujin of the month thing maybe. Also if n e body needs n e help with other doujin projects i'd be happy to help. not like i have a life or n e thing ^_^'

Quote by AyameSeishiroei guys, Ayame here. ~_~ umm.... may i ask for a little bit of info.
from artists here???
Especially from Crash-kun, I really admire his works... may I know what
kind of pencil or was it charcoal that you use for drawing? ...blue?
and, if by any chance is it available in any National Bookstore outlets
here in the Philippines? Arigatou-gozaimasu!!!

You're from the philippines??? =o
Where there? =3

i use mongol 2, Staedler HB and 2B, and HB pencil lead for my mechanical pencils =)
Anyway, the quality of a pic depends mostly on the artist =) Even if you have the best materials, if you don't know how to use them or anything of the sort it'll just go to waste =)
Ganbatte ne ^^

Everyone does admin work? I must have sounded very silly in spikespiegel's gb. hehe :D

Quote by EvanruedYou have offended me plenty.

hey there wtf are you guys up to?? not that i want to interfere into this manly process of showing off and grinding the teeth and all, but well we're all doujinshi lovers and (supposedly) intelligent ppl who knows how to discuss a matter right ??
ok levezzali, i think you're a great artist, and i understand your poing, but if we do a switching banner thing like suggested, would it be okay ?? so you won't have to "stand" the 'we exist' banner all month long.... plus you can stay off the club the time this banner is up :)

whatever, you guys do how you feel it XP

Quote by Ayamaeland i guess Lev was a little rude to you in the way he said it (no offense
Lev... hum, wait, you did realize it yourself didn't you ^^)

hm... you're right, I did realize that, and you haven't offensed me ... at least I think so... ^_^'
hm... I've read the other coments befor this one, and if I quote everyone it'd make a single page, so I hope you remember what you guys wrote! ^_^' (ok, If now i offended you I am really sorry)....
Well, I guess that probably you haven't thought about this I am gonna say because it's almost a subliminary thing... people never think what they want to work when they do this kind of job (like drawing and placing a text) they (we) tend to put just what we think it suits better for our reality now, but we must think that we have a public and we are set to make that persons a target, of course we HAVE to motivate them to see/know that we doujinshi artists/lovers are here and we share the SAME space, but beyond that we must show them that we have always been here.
Imagine 2 advertisement campaings: The Red Cross, asking aids for a cancer hospital that's gonna be built in your city, they try to motivate you with sensitive, emotion, good feelings, and other ways to make people help'em ...
now tell me (... or not.. please, don't tell me, just think about it) what was the last Red Cross campaign you saw, or Greenpeace, or any kind of instution that tries to help people with donations ....
now think about another campaing .... from Pepsi, with those hot semi-nude chicks dancing, singing in a coliseum, fighting for a pepsi can .. a pepsi can ... -_-
Wich one for you was better, no, better was not the best word, wich one for you was the most effective? the one that touched your heart and brought a ter to your eyes, and made you go to the bathroom to dry it with paper, or the one that made you get up the chair, go to the refrigerator and take a pepsi to drink?
This is my point, we (as people, not as MT members) do not want a thing that makes people think about us "oh, he is a nice guy, maybe I'll talk to him in the next chance" we want people to say "Sweet Jesus, he is the most amazing man I've ever seen in my poor existence, I have to have him with me NOW!"
But as group we cannot let people see us as beggers with that "We exist" I am sure you won't agree with me again, but that's my point, it's way too much apelative considering the context that people in mT do not give the right value to people who have so much effort in doing a thing that's artesanal. I am very sorry for having to say this, but I keep my point disliking the logo you chosen even if it's temporary, because, once you get yourself in a bad bar that is under maintenance, you never return to that bar.... even when that maintenance is over...
Well, I turned to see that it's way too hard to explain this in english, and perhaps half the stuff I wanted to say, I wouldn't be able to express....
damn, I wrote too much .... ^_^'
but I end with the most needed question that I haven't seen anybody ask:
What we want people to think about us when they enter the group page?
I sense that I might become Persona Non Grata here! :\

For one, I'm done.
For two, it's finished. I'm not going to sit here and bicker back and forth about something that's going the wrong way. You have offended me plenty.
