I've got a question: What is a Aspirant Member? That's what I'm listed as.

I've also got an answer: Be confident in your own right. Be sure of yourself first, then impress others with that confidence second. That's a great foundation to build, and what's best is that you'll always be sure of yourself!

Oh Good Golly, I need to aquire a job... So... how does one create that air of confidence that professional types always seem to have? :o
Oh piffle.

=^..^=

For anyone who still visits this page (or is interested) there is now a Facebook group for MT-ers! XD Just do a search for "minitokyo" and you should find us! (Unfortunately you must be a member of Facebook to join/look at the group page)

I'd say pretty interesting.

My suitemates are okay. Although sometimes they can be pretty loud at times.

Classes are alright. Most of my professors are cool.
Although penal law my professor reminds me of a female version of Mr. Bean. Which creeps me out alot.

So, for those of you who are back in school... How were the first days back?

I know how you feel classes start Wednseday for me. X_X

T_T where oh where did you go summer?

Quote by BaKaShInIgAmIyeah, college starts soon. luckly for me, i have no classes on fridays. 3-day weekend each week! on the other hand, i am packed Mon-Thurs. i have to go soon to find out what books i need to buy.

Ah... I had that schedule my whole 3rd year! It's gonna be weird going back to a normal weekend... ^_^'

BOO. I start class again on Tuesday... So long summer relaxation! T_T

Hey all...haven't been here in a while...
I've got Physical Therapy clinical internship and this month I'm in rotation at out college basketball varsity team! Our time-in is at 12noon 5 days a week...not bad, I think. ^^
Tho I usually work on my thesis in the mornings... >.<
Anyways, lots of luck with all your work/schooling! ^^ Haha...I feel really old now... ^^

Yeah I knew someone with that kind of schedule. It would have been nice to have fridays off but I don't think I could deal with that many classes in one day.

3 is already too much for me.

i will miss sleeping in late but what i will miss most is working on the house. this whole summer i have been doing house projects and i have had a lot of fun. working with new tools, learning new things...i will miss all that.

Oh, I hear ya there Spy! For some ungodly reason I am taking a class on Animal Diversity from 8:10-9 am... ^_^' and of course it just had to be three days a week! I will definitely miss lazing about the house and being able to sleep in!

Ah Holy crap school starts in less then a month. AYE YA AYE YAAAAAAAAAAA T_T :starts running around in circles screaming:

Why did I have to pick early classes to take. >_<

The one things I'm going to miss about summer is being able to sleep in late.

What about the rest of you? What are you guys going to miss?

Hello all! I'm here to shamelessly plug the new group I just created for the anime Blood+! Come and check us out!

Now that I've gotten that out of my system... Ugh, I had to register for classes the other day. Now I know that my summer is coming to an end! T_T

Bah a moments break from modding.

Haven't had any luck finding a job. Living in a big city doesn't help -__-""

SOoooo been spending alot of time here or doing this and that. Have been going to alot of family functions lately. You never knew you had so many cousins your age till they all graduate in the same proximity of time

Lol, not a lot. Since I did not hear back from any of the places I applied to work, I've been going to the gym a lot. ^_^' I've also been catching up on some reading (non-manga related X-P) and catching up on some anime/jdramas.

looks like everyone else is on vacation. what are you up to this summer fireflywishes-san?

Going with the current direction of conversation here (and to try and get other people to post)

What is everyone doing this summer?

no, unfortunately I get no money for my practical training... It would definitely be a motivator but I'm glad to have the opportunity to get an insight into such a grand hotel and none of those pay their trainees here. Well, it's just for three months, so I think I'll manage. :)

hopefully it won't be bad. :)
i won't get paid either until the semester starts. so, until late august, i'm working for free. oh well.

Quote by BaKaShInIgAmIare u getting paid for your practical training? is your training just for the summer?

I'm not good at computer things either ^_^'
But I think you'll manage this! I keep my fingers crossed for you.

But you surely have a few days off, too, haven't you?

thanks for the support. :)
i already had my time off. my college ended in mid May and i started research in mid June. so i had about a month off. i spent most of that time with my friends. now it's back to work. i also have a pretty flexible schedule for research. my professor is nice and said that i can choose my own hours as long as i complete a certain number of hours a week.

are u getting paid for your practical training? is your training just for the summer?

cool, a 5-star hotel in Berlin...sounds fun. it must be really crazy in Germany right now because of the world cup.

well, we'll see if it's going to be fun... ^^
but yes, it's incredible here right now. All the people from all over the world (most of them attired in the traditional colours of their flags) and everyone's celebrating and watching the games together. It's like a big party and it's great. I really like it. All the people are so friendly and it's interesting to talk to them. :)

over summer, i'm doing research with a professor at my college. my first assignment to make a small program but i don't know any programming. he told me to learn C in about 2-3 weks. so, that's what i've been doing. i hate computer programming. i'm so bad at it. once i learn it, i'll start the actual research. research is pretty much all i'll be doing over my summer.

well, I think the exams were okay ^^ but I'll have to wait for the results (which will be announced in september) to be sure...
I'll pass my practical training at the 5-star Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Berlin because I'm studying international business administration with a main emphasis on hotel and tourism management :)

What are you doing over the summer?
