Way too many Mai Otome merchandise coming out in the next few months for my
wallet to handle but some are worth the money! (I'm looking forward to getting
the PS2 game, some figures and an artbook) Most of the stuff are probably going
to help promote the upcoming OVA. I like this one of Arika.
I love all of them. Especially the one of Natsuki. I will definitly buy them!

Will buy it to. Love this one and thought about buying the model kit. But now I

I believe those are CMS's Mai Otome trading figures (Set 4?). I love that
Shizuru and Nao ones! This set is definitely on my to buy list.

BTW, for those keeping up with the Mai Otome omakes, there's a version 2 of
Omake #8 out today. The subbers mentioned that the 1st version contains some
translation errors.
No wonder some of the conversation was somewhat out of place to me!

I'm rather curious about one of the screencaps. Instead of the Tomoe pic, the
official site has Erstin pic. I wonder if both will be in this omake. I'm really
interested to know what happened to Tomoe.
And speaking of omakes, the one from vol 8 - The Legend of the Fire String Ruby
-The Truth of Meister Mai has been subbed. During the time in the hot spring
episode, Mai reveals how and why she disappeared from Garderobe. Its a nice
backstory for Mai. I'm still wondering about the shadowed guy in the pic below.
I don't recall Mai ever mentioning the name of the guy. My guess is on Sergay
based on subtle hints I had noticed throughout the series.

the last Volume of the DVD Release of Mai Otome. It seems to be a prequel to the
first one which was always misunderstood as Movie trailer. You can find it on
the official site under the DVD Section.

November is a month for the return of Mai Otome. As mentioned before, Vol 1 of
the OVA comes out Nov 24. This time I got a little more detail on the plot.
Arika continues to try to make herself a stronger meister, Mashiro works on
being a better Queen. Meanwhile, a meteorite threatens the world and the
meisters gather together to fight this danger. The OVA's theme song will also be
released on the same day.
Also around late fall, there would be action figures and trading figures coming
out. The official site should have some
new pics of some of them by now.

Wow ! This Mai HiME group seems awsome. I would Love to join this group. I just
finished watching Mai Hime along with Mai Otome, and I have to say, they both
are now in my top 5 anime of all time. The creaters did a great job with the
chracter creations in Mai HiME, and I was realy impressed with the way they kept
the original concepts of the main characters but added little twists to them for
Mai Otome. I just couldnt stop laughing.
Lets see my fav charcter form Mai HiME would have to be...Tokiha Mai. I love the
loyalty she has for her friends.
And in Mai Otome... Mikoto (girl and cat)... They just made me laugh the most,
especially the cat. There's a dvd special i saw that I just could not stop
laughing after I saw it....

Too bad there wasn't any battle footage of Mashiro/Fumi vs Mikoto. That was one
of many Hime confrontations I had wanted to see more of.
And Cheza, nice full body sceencap of Midori with Mikoto.
According to Bandai Visuals Japan products section, Mai Otome Zwei Vol 1, a 30
min OVA, is due out on DVD on Nov 24, 2006. From what I been hearing, its
supposely a 4 part OVA series. From what I can make out on the plot discription,
it looks like the story is about some giant meteor threatening the peaceful
world where Arika and company live. (I don't recall ever hearing what planet the
characters live on in the TV series). It definitely looks like Arika will be the
starring character again.
As for the title, its kind of interesting the creators are using a German word
as part of the name. "Zwei" means "two" in German. The same
thing was done for the Xenosaga games. Whatever the reason, it sounds cool to
me.

it's pretty hard, mai didn't make any facial expression.. perhaps that's the problem
