Yes, OVA Vol 1 (of 4) coming out (Nov 24). If the stories for each volume is a
direct continuation of one another, maybe it can be consider a movie if they put
them together as one part in a future release.

Pics of the Otomegraph art book are starting to show up on various boards on the
net. I'm adding this funny one here that some of you may or may not had already
seen. Shizuru shows she's the best of the two, and Coral Haruka proves she's got
that freakish body toughness that we had seen in the anime.
The art book looks like it contains quite a few images of the meisters during
their coral and pearl days.

Judging from the images I seen, it looks like its has scenee that are similiar
to the screencaps that had been published in magazines. The art is drawn by a
different artist. Looks like a cutesy looking style and has quite a few
ecchi-ness for one chapter. The art doesn't impress me but with time, maybe I'll
get used to it.
I had wished that Kenetsu Satou (artist for Hime/Otome manga) was doing this,
but he's working on another series ( Seikon no Keisa) that have a few characters
resembling the Otome cast.
C'mon minna-san! We've only got one entry for the caption contest so far...
it'll only take like, 5 minutes of your time. And I think that UltraMarine
supplied a pretty good image for the contest, so let's not let her work go to
waste!

like a new release date is 10-25-06. I plan to keep an eye out for it at HLJ

I have seen a magazine ad of this figure. The pic I saw shows just the model
without the paint. It looks like it could be Mai from Mai Hime wearing her white
beach jacket over her bikini as seen in that beach episode. Plus the figure
should be preassembled, so no painting is required.
Here's an interesting Natsuki model that I saw at Yahoo's Japan auction

but a fan made model who used part of the bikini clad hitchhiking Natsuki figure

Arika and Nina in Coral Robe like the Action Figures but Pre-Painted.
Each of them will cost 5.510 Yen (Early Bid!) until Oct. 27th. After that the

Unfortunalty HLJ has not the Mai Otome Artbook for sale until now
Seem to me that I must buy it from eBay.
On the other hand: a new Mai HiME Figure feat. Mai will be avaible in January.

Are you talking about "Hoshi ga Kanaderu Monogatari"? The trio sing it
together in the Best Collection Album and solo and duet versions in OST Vol 1
and 2, which can be brought at online shops like YesAsia and CD Japan. Otherwise
check your PM for another alternative.

game. I still like that one over Valkyrja. I like Kuribayashi's songs too, but
I'm more of an Ali Project fan. Their songs sound unique compared to your

As for the game, the trailer shows several areas of the game's options in
English, a big plus for those not fluent in Japanese. So, even it if it doesn't
get released for US or Europe, it should be much more easy to navigate. Of
course one drawback is we have to have a PS2 that can play imports.

The OP/ED single has been released for the upcoming Mai Otome PS2 game. The
opening theme "Valkyrja" is an upbeat song. You can hear part of the
song from this 2 min game trailer obtained via animesuki boards.
The ending theme is not as upbeat as the OP theme in my opinion; it does give
the lively and happy vibes- kind-of-feeling to me.

Yeah, those Nina and Natsuki models should be from the manga version and they
look very beautiful! I would like to buy those too, but they are garage kits and
I have no decent skills to be able to paint them well.
The story plot update includes a bit of what I posted a week ago. They added
that the meterorite danger is probably perhaps the biggest crisis the planet
ever faced. Maybe we will see all the countries, whether they are friend or foe,
ally themselves together to fight this threat.
In the character gallery section, only Arika and Mashiro are there for now.
Hopefully, art for the rest of the cast will show up soon.

The official site was updated with lots of news about the OVA. Unfortunalty I can't read japanese so I don't know about the story.
The product page was also updated with some new figure.
I would like to buy the one of Natsuki but it is to much money for me
Natsuki (28,5 cm) 9.240 Yen
Nina (26.5 cm) 13.440 Yen
Both will be avaible till October 2006 and I think these are the Manga versions of Natsuki and Nina like the one of Midori.
