for the past 2-3 years I've picked up on a lot of japanese phrases and though I
might as well learn the language. Also you can't deny the language is cute! ^^;

what you say is right gramatically but it is a bit iikurushii( at least I think
that is how you say difficult to say) and too formal( seishiki).
name-( without san) desu and just to avoid confusion boku/ore( a bit too manly)/
watashi( a bit too feminime) desu would be fine.
Anyway, boku wa hikaru desu. Kyoo kara konokurabu osewani narimashita. Yoroshiku
onegaishimasu.
Boku wa chuugokujin desu. Sukoshii nihongo ga shaberu. nansei sannengurai
gakkoode nihongo o naranda
English translation. I am hikaru( it is a pen name only though.) From today
onward I will be in the care of the club. I can speak a little of japanese.
After-all I have spent three years learning japanese at school.
