I think that's short, too, but it seems they'll be able to cover all the manga
nonetheless. I just hope they don't do major changes to the story...

@Rorschach: That's an interesting theory! But from what I know, you can only
control a person for a span of 28 days, after which they die of a heart attack
if you didn't specify another cause of death. So if Raito was to write his own
name in the Death Note, then after a maximum of 28 days he'd die of a heart
attack...
From what I know, the only way to prolongue someone's lifespan using the Death
Note is if a shinigami kills someone for your sake... then the killed person's
remaining lifespan will be transfered to you. But that'd mean the shinigami
died..
People from all over the world who admire Kira or what he is doing i have
something very interesting for you all to think about:
Can Kira become immortal ?
My theory is:
A death note owner can totally control its victim's death condition right? So if
that's right, what stops the owner from controlling its OWN death ?I mean, can
the death note owner wright in the death note something like:
"Yagami Raito, dies when he gets 100 years."
And even if he can't do such thing there's another thought, what if he asks to
another death note owner to wright the same thing in its death note, in Raito's
case for example he could ask Misa to do so, so that way he had to die with 100
hundred years or more, that way he could even make the deal with Ryuuko to trade
their eyes without the perish to lose half of his life spend,right? Well, that's
my great theory for this splendid genious Manga/anime please gimme your opinions
about this theoy, i'll look foward for it, thank for your attention, and have a
