nuh I just figured it was useless to have the moderator title since the only power it allows is to accept members into the group. So it's just some... drawer cleaning XD
I had fun. I'm back :3

In case you want a tutorial on digital painting well I made one here:
Digital Painting Walkthrough

I've heard lots about the steep initial learning curve with Painter, but I'm sure you'll get used to it soon and make more luvly paintings for us :)

Actually Painter IX.

it's confusing... and takes some getting used-to for sure.. though I did figure out some shortcut keys. The digital watercolour brush is neat. though I dunno how to use everything else there ^^; Waaayy too many choices... they should just have a brush called 'default' XD

I still like my PSP though, and it's user-friendly-ness.

wow coolies! <-- green with envy
Painter X?
let us know how you go, I might get it later in the year ^^

yay I just got Painter! Though I have no idea how to use it ^^; esp the blender.. sometimes it lets me use it, other times it doesn't O_o ...

well, assuming we are in PAINT o rama, that's a no.

whut you mean YES. The contests for now have been wallpaper-only but the rest of the group stuff never refused any paintings, wall format or no wall format.

Ah, thanks. It's really misleading, the "vectoring isn't the only modern way to good walls" thing on top, y'know? It wasn't until I saw Ryanzha's painting that I thought otherwise. Maybe you should make it more speciifc?

Do you use Jasc Paint Shop Pro? Do you want to know how to use the pen tool? Then look here, at the Ultimate PSP pen tool and vectoring tutorial!

and moonescape, yeah, I forgot to mention at devART that the highlight probably should be yellow-ish white instead of pure white. It's always a better idea to use non-white colours for highlights. Esp since you're using purples for shading, it's good to use the complimentary colour for highlighting.

Nice tutorials, just that the ocean needs more depth and details, so the water will look real. Plus, when painting and smudging the sea, you must know the flow of the water, how wavey it is, and so on.
And when highlighting the sea, I don't think pure white is the best colour. Choose brighter colour of the sea, or of the sun, coz it's reflecting the sunlight.
