Whoa whee. This is interesting. ^^ I love the 1st 3 categories. might need to crack ideas for the next wall.

Black and white were never colours to start off with :P they are shades

Okay let's say you choose red as your colour.

You can use:

Red (plus all its shades- dark red, maroon, scarlet etc)

OPTIONAL:

Black, White (and its greys)
Orange (if you want, plus its shades- dark orange, light orange)
Yellow (if you want, plus its shades- lemon yellow to mustard yellow)

ALSO:

Pink, brown
Because I said they didn't count as colours Plus they are close to red.

In other words, ONE colour, plus up to 2 more if you want.

If this is too confusing, just use one colour, its shades, black, white.

Not really :P If they are big squares I'll count them. If they are the 1x1 pixels, then that's just any jpeg image ;;

I did the one for TREC with the chick from RahXephon (I forgot her name ) actually I forgot all about that one because I was like *blinks* I did that when I found it.

I don't think that's a problem :3 Your technique can be creating positive space with vectors, and then removing it with an eraser

@evo- the w.a.r collab colouring in was reallly good too- just by looking at how you coloured the character in, you should probably be really good at painting :P Though I don't think I've seen you paint Apart from the Juuni Kokki guy

As for Freehand vs Illustrator, I don't think it should make a difference which one you use As long as you're comfortable with it :3 Like, I make "false" vectors in Photoshop (because it's bitmap lolz)- but I can't be bothered using Illustrator. Their swatches make my head spin

The whole point of the "ONE" challenge is to get members focused on one thing. It makes it a lot easier, and probably by the end of it you'll be really familiar with using colours, or just with the one technique. It makes things less complex, so hopefully it should be good :P
I shall get onto it! I had something in progress and now I've decided that I've got a better idea for it :P Woot!

But I was going through my dvds the other day and found a vector I did in Photoshop for TREC. I was like :O My skills have regressed but yeah another technique learnt might be the way to go.

Actually I have only made two wallpapers lately but because I spend most of my time making icons Im getting lazy with my work.

The 2 wall examples

Never Be Alone - This one was a thanks for a friend who made me 2 Icons. Basically it was one of the scans I submitted but textured, few brush strokes etc. Not very original so never submitted here

Free As A Bird - Present for my friend so drawing me so many ItaDei pictures (yeah yeah I know I have issues ) I vectored everything on this except for the colour overlay and text. Also I spelt the Studio wrong but this seems to be my only level of walling atm.

So yeah thats why I have resorted to vectors... slowly getting better there...not much but slowly. And I still haven't stopped using Freehand I got Illustrator but never used it

We will aim for like 10 entries per category, but if that doesn't work out, we can end it at 5 entries per category, or 3 per category: depends

We should start up a new project, or have an activity kind of project. I will think of something soon- hopefully @_@

I've been vectoring too much. Way too much. But a new wall should come out for the Arete Ii then another one by the end of the month... plus a Eureka 7 vectorpaint somewhere...

btw is the 'brushing' listed site working? It seems to lead to a search directory.
