I see. *scratches head* Sounds really confusing and hard, from the way u two
explain it. Have not began to touch that programme yet but I guess I'll do that
when I'm ready.
Owwwhh yeah, The One Challenge. <3 Finally done! *dances*
Yeah I heard the same thing about vectoring, so I tried Illustrator.
Like Misa said it was really mindbending and stressful. I'm not abandoning
Illustrator (although I haven't used it since), I'm just looking for a good
tutorial that'll explain how to work the thing.
@ Kozumura you might have brought on a nuclear holocaust, but the sky falling
and the apocalypse will definitely happen if/when I finally submit another wall
I've tried out Illustrator before and because I'm used to the Photoshop type of
"vector" (really just a vexel ==') it seemed like a nightmare
But nah, I'm exaggerating. You don't get any jaggedness whatsoever, and when you
do a path, you can fill it in and stroke it at the same time. You can choose the
line thickness (however many .pt thick you want it) and you can choose line
colour and the colour you fill it. There are some settings on the right with
tabs and stuff. Swatches is what the colours are.
The handy thing about Illustrator is that there are 2 cursors. One you can use
to move points (I think, from what I remember) and another to select things.
Anyway, the quality in Illustrator is much higher than that of Photoshop, and
you get much sharper results.
I personally got very confused with the layers, the swatches and the cursors.
For some reason I felt like I was undoing what I already did when I clicked on
an existing point (because Illustrator saves all your paths). Apparently
Photoshop can save paths, too, but I never bothered with it or learned how to
:P
But yeah. Illustrator is good RAM eating goodness, provided you get your head
around the whole swatches, cursors and lines thingy.
Arrrgghhhh *pulls hair* Can't get my the one challenge wall anywhere!
Vectoring in illustrator...? Is that different from vectoring in photoshop? All
I know is that they say vectoring in Illustrator won't create those jagged lines
which exist in Photoshop though.
*surfaces* The homework only let me escape last night .
I'm finally FREE! Never try to cram an entire 16 weeks course into 10 days - I'm
truely an idiot!
Time to dust off the much neglected Photoshop and do something not homework
related. Next mystery... just what was the last psd I was working on?
