Well, not much is going on here with me. I think many of the people here are on
vacation. I hope they'll come back.
Right now for environmentalism:
A local oil tycoon (Boone Pickens) is opting for making a large field of wind
generators and solar energy so it'll take the pressure off of using foreign oil
and natural gas here in the US... mostly Oklahoma I think will start it, but I
haven't read all about it yet. Hope it works.
Yea... that was what i was talking about... I live here in San Jose, CA. and who
knows where we could meet... we live all over the world.
so that would really be a problem... but probably some of us who live in the
same area could meet up and then we could all talk in this group. ^^
That way we could make a difference! ^^
think about it...

I was just wondering...um...well...could there be a way we could all meet up in
a place and like... I dunno... plant some trees and/or pick up trash... though
we might not all be able to come...Maybe it could happen...
reply back, i'd like to hear your ideas [of where to go].
Sounds neat. ^^ My trees though, we need to decide where we want them. We can't
possible have a Blue Spruce in the yard... its too small and the tree wouldn't
fit with the root system with the other trees. Kinda makes me sad anyways... my
new house is a "cookie cutter" one and there aren't ANY trees here.
I can't stand it. Its a wasteland of houses and no trees.
I may plant a few where I used to live out in the country. The land isn't going
to be developed any time soon. *prays* I need to double check on all their
specs. I want them to all like where I plant them. ^^
Quote by kaisui1tatsuHmm, I think
that when spring comes around, we each could take a commement to plant
something, and during the growth process we could share the pictures with each
other. What do you guys think?
I love this idea. Personally since i was recently nominated and then elected by
my cities Tree and Beautification board to be chairman, we love to see the
plants grow.
Keep in mind when you get the plant make sure it is a native species to your
area, or state, if you plan on platting a tree i can give detailed information
on how too(trees are much harder to plant then bushes and such).
We should do a group announcement on this but first I'll wait for at least two
more responses.

take into account the eagle it's coming back but it's slow but look at the dodo
unless they clone it will not come back all because it was over hunted....since
it was stupid that might be some account but they could have saved it instead of
shrugging their shoulders and saying "oh well"...but I agree it is sad
to see these animals dwendling down all because people are too careless and want
to over populate and destroy such a beautiful place...why not live in
harmony...I mean come on the natives did it for generations before they too
became just another endangered species (I'm native american, cherokee/melungon
among other things so I can tell you it's quite sad how some people want they
take)
Welcome booniechick! Its great to have
you with us.
I feel so bad. Every time I see little programs on artic foxes and polar
bears... and their numbers dwindling... makes me sad. I
know that they say that their populations will come back, but still... seeing
this firsthand versus animals I know who are going extinct in the rainforest but
I've never seen. I wonder if they'd get more conservation support if people
would show all the animals that are going endangered in the rainforest because
of various climate and geogreaphical/ecological reasons.
...I'm not even counting the ones that are going extinct that we haven't even
discovered yet...

Welcome welcome. Yeah, this group got quiet recently. Would you like to talk about anything dealing with the environment?
BTW: Its the time to plant trees! Make a difference and plant a tree this year! ^^
YAY!
I hope to do a lot in the MT-Environmentalists group!
