Quote by MapleRoseI need to get away from here soon, I'm receiving bad influence.

I'd go emo if you left us again. :( I'm too street for that but it could happen...

Quote: @jak: there there, you should learn to hop on the bandwagon too XD I actually would like to see your vectors of actual people.

I'd love to post my vectors here but I don't think it fits in the gallery. Lame excuse... I know...

Quote by davidh01I'll have to admit, I'm at a loss about a new picture for our background. Would you be horribly disappointed if I said the one we've currently got is appropriate for what we do? Unless someone can find a picture of a generic anime babe sitting in front of a TV with anime on it, with notepad in hand scribbling furiously. Lame, I know.

I might just have something like that...

Anyways, 'bout the page graphics and all... Come on, Maple... I know you got some nice hook-ups with plenty of peeps havin' that colored name and all.

I did warn you that "Be advised that I am very very biased and probably will not listen to reason."

Quote: I have him beat in the one thing that really matters. I am flesh and blood. Though your fangirlish instincts may convince you otherwise, that is the truth. No matter his portrayal on that show, he is but a fictional creation of someone in Japan. Wish how you may, your love for Mwu shall ALWAYS be unrequited.

Yes, I'm well aware of that. I'm not asking or hoping for him to return my "love" (it's more of an obsession than love... the two are different) in any way. I was just disappointed that you didn't give a more amusing answer...

I once had this history teacher, terribly racist man, who would put those ugly red X's on so many papers... of the white kids. Thinking our answers were right, we would ask "why did you mark this wrong?" His answer was, "it's right... but it's not right enough to be counted right... so it's wrong". Essentially that is what we have here; a losing battle no matter the effort. Well I can tell you this my dear MapleRose... I have him beat in the one thing that really matters. I am flesh and blood. Though your fangirlish instincts may convince you otherwise, that is the truth. No matter his portrayal on that show, he is but a fictional creation of someone in Japan. Wish how you may, your love for Mwu shall ALWAYS be unrequited.

What other option did I have besides going for broke? There was no way in hell I was going to be able to go toe to toe with her obsession. All or nothing... probably nothing. I'll go back to my corner now.

LOL@ Sho's Top 5 Rejections by Women XD

Oh come on sho, that was lame, I'm not convinced in the slightest. You can do better than that.

Quote: 1. Not a mobile armor ace due to lack of existance of mobile armor.

Er, how is that better than Mwu? and for the record, I like Rau

Quote: 3. Isn't the nickname "shoujoboy" much cooler than "Hawk of Endymion"

No.

You're simply comparing so saying how you're similar to Mwu, not how you're better. I'm disappointed sho... or maybe it's just because you're not better than Mwu and can't think of anything =P

@jak: there there, you should learn to hop on the bandwagon too XD I actually would like to see your vectors of actual people.

@dave: it's not that I don't like this picture, it suits our purpose well, it's just that we had it for almost a year and I want to change things up a bit XD Finding a similar picture would work.

found a few photos as a possible idea:
- sho writing in his diary about women and rejection
- jak staring at a blank page
- a random scribble
- and since nobody writes with pen and paper anymore, a keyboard

I need to get away from here soon, I'm receiving bad influence.

Oh yeah, I also eat from the microwave - its one of my two main food groups (along with the ubiquitous Aussie BBQ)

Quote by MapleRoseIs this still the MT Review guestbook? Or is it shoujoboy's guestbook? And is it just us 4 talking now? Where are the rest of the group? I bet jak, dave, and sho scared them off. Dunno why I'm still sticking around with you boys...

So anyway, I'm looking for a new picture for a new layout. But I kinda don't trust sho or jak when it comes to finding pictures... it's all up to you dave, or whoever else is still brave enough to come here.

At least its already 4... back then it was just 2. And we didn't scare them off. I'm too cool to be feared.

What!? Finding pictures? God I'm a way better Digital Artist than you... It just so happens vector is the "IN" thing nowadays and the only thing I vector good is people... actual people, which is by far harder than line arts or anime screenies.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I that sounded a little mad, I'm just a frustrated artist desperate for some loving.

Quote by MapleRose Tell you what Sho, just to keep your ego going and keep us/me entertained, if you can convince me that you're better than Mwu la Flaga from Gundam SEED (I know you've watched GS, so if you don't remember who that is, you lose by default), I might listen to what you have to say (btw, don't drag that ugly beast called Destiny in your arguments, please, or I might have to kill you). Be advised that I am very very biased and probably will not listen to reason.

Sho's Top 5 Rejections by Women:

5. Wait a minute, I thought you were gay.
4. I don't want a relationship right now.
3. I don't want to ruin the friendship.
2. I want somebody just like you, just not you.
1. If you can convince me that you're better than Mwu la Flaga I might listen to what you say.

Well then I guess my lay-up for the basket just got swatted into first row seating. So to even catch ones attention, I'd have to show up someone they are already obsessed with. Yes, I know this Mwu la Flaga, but for ease of making a point...

Quote by Freaking Wikipedia Mu is a veteran mobile armor ace, and a longtime rival of ZAFT officer Rau Le Creuset, with whom he demonstrates a strange extrasensory connection. He is famous in many parts of the Cosmic Era universe as the "Hawk of Endymion" for destroying five ZGMF-1017 GINN mobile suits with his TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero mobile armor at the Battle of Endymion Crater, a feat previously considered impossible.[2][1] The Battle of Endymion Crater also leaves him as the only remaining OMNI pilot capable of handling the Moebius Zero, the wire-guided gunbarrels of which require a high degree of spatial awareness not commonly possessed by Naturals. A laid-back man with a thick-skinned attitude toward war, Mu is casually boastful of his preternatural abilities, sometimes calling himself "the man who can make the impossible possible."

5. Thick-skinned attitude towards war (Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom... I uhh did paperwork)
6. The man who can make the impossible possible. Case in point, you've kept the conversation up this long when no one thought that would happen.

I guess I'm screwed not being able to take part in an interstellar war. I suppose we can't all be winners.

Quote by shoHaven't the movies taught you anything... the lower class guy is always awesome and the woman remembers what it was like to not have to worry about classes, when it was all about the friendship and love. I know you've seen those movies. They always end in happiness and usually a sweet dancing scene. Twist that picture around in your head and then get back to me... I'm waiting.

Yes I've seen those movies, and yes I hated those movies because they're always so cheesy and stupid.

We posted so much today that it pushed my message off the front page. So anyway, I'm looking for a new picture for a new layout. But I kinda don't trust sho or jak when it comes to finding pictures... it's all up to you dave, or whoever else is still brave enough to come here.

What's this!? You two are having a conversation... David, come look! Its MapleRose and Shoujoboy...

Sho eats from a microwave?

Quote by MapleRoseIt's only because of the colour of my name isn't it.

No, but I think your problem with me is the color of mine. We can't be mixing the classes can we? You're afraid of what your parents and friends will think. I can hear it now... "honey, you can't be associating yourself with lowly members. He probably shops at Wal-Mart and eats food from a microwave. We are a special pedigree and they... just aren't".

Quote by shoujoboyDon't be jealous everybody else, I'll talk to you too, it's just you don't get as much attention as MapleRose.

Quote by MapleRoseHmm, you sure you really want to be stopped? 'cause I can with one click of a button using my super mod powers :D

Only if it's you...

I know you wouldn't do that though. You've kept the conversation up this long, so I can tell you can't get enough of the Sho Show (oh so damned clever). Don't worry about keeping up this facade, just send a PM and we can talk elsewhere...

Don't be jealous everybody else, I'll talk to you too, it's just you don't get as much attention as MapleRose.

Quote: It's always "thought about" and "was going to" with you isn't it? Like you are sitting around saying to yourself "I'm gonna write a review!" and then you lift your finger and go "meh, nevermind". Tsk tsk I say to you.

Yup pretty much. Say tsk tsk all you want, but it ain't gonna motivate me any.

Quote by MapleRoseI thought about reviewing Sola, but since you reviewed it, I don't feel as compelled to, even though I don't agree with your review XD (but who knows, I marathoned it in 2 days, so I probably wasn't paying much attention).

Quote: Meh, Club Sho doesn't sound all that interesting, it's probably full of Americans thinking they're the king of the world and sharing their ignorance of the rest of the world with each other. I'll pass =P

You know judging a whole country of people like that sounds awfully familiar. I mean what group of people can judge an entire country based on the actions of only a few? You see where I'm going with this? You have the heart of an American, you just deny it... EMBRACE IT! Well if you are ever looking at getting into this country legally, just give me a call *wink*.

Ok somebody stop me already...

Yeah, I think maybe it's better if I edit my review to include the second season since it's somewhat more of the same (like Aria, which I probably would review, eventually )

- If two seasons are in direct relation to one another, I'd say to just use the same review. It's when theres dramatic difference between the two or it's been a long time since you originally reviewed a season that I'd say do another one.

- I see you don't trust me to find a picture. I see how it is. I wanted to use a dog eating an ice cream cone, but I guess we just won't be seeing that.

- Your loss... you don't know what your missing. Club Sho is an exclusive club and if you don't want a membership, then it's just your loss. Why the hell do I feel the need to type stuff in like this?

I continue my attempt at sensory overload by plopping down review #43, Sola. Going to pick up Persona 3 FES tomorrow so that should be next. Also on tap is Spice and Wolf, Otome wa Boku ni Koishteru and well I don't know yet. Am I going overboard yet?

your spam is fun to read XD

nah, don't really want to go one on one with sho, 'cause he's just an ignorant American.

but to interrupt the fun random spam, I actually have 2 semi-serious questions.

- My latest review for Jigoku Shoujo is for the first season only. I originally planned to do a separate review for season two. But I kinda realised that a lot of it is kinda repeating on what I said for season one (since season two isn't all *that* different), and a lot of it is comparing to season one. So should I still go ahead and write a separate review for season two, or go back and edit my review for season one to include season two?

- I'm sick of looking at this layout that we had for almost a year. Can anyone find a good image I can use for a new layout? Btw, "anyone" = anyone other than jak and sho. I don't trust the images you guys find :P

Quote by jakulitoI was tryna let you and maple have a little one-on-one here but davidh01 ruined the atmosphere. Shame on you, dave.

Ara, what can I say in response... Oh yes, thanks Jak.

Heh heh heh. Well, I've got a rep to uphold as the B*****d Planner from Down Under. Butting in where I spoil the mood comes with the territory.

And as for you Sho, I'm flattered that my writing style can set your soul on fire. Sometimes I just wish it could tell certain members of the public to "Sod Off Because I Don't Give a Rat's About Your Pathetic Whinging on This Issue or That Issue". Then again, I guess as a public servant one has to take such matters in their stride.

Signing off by quoting Dad from Bro' Town: "Boys, I'm off to the pub... I may be some time..." as he staggers off the MT Review soapbox.

She wouldn't let me spit game at her anyway.

I was tryna let you and maple have a little one-on-one here but davidh01 ruined the atmosphere. Shame on you, dave.

I knew that would get a rise out of you. Yea me rapping, not gonna happen...

I'm DJ Sho and I'm so white, I get sunburned even at night...

And just to show you how much I suck at that, it took me like 2 minutes to think that line. I tried for like 10 minutes after that to think of another... and failed.

English lyricism... playah, playah where'd yo swing that up? Is it just me or mah homie sho tryna be a little street... now that's word right thurr.

How about you start rappin' sho?

My name is Lil' SHoujohBoi and I represent the intellectual rap with metaphors and hifalutin words. And uhhh f*ck the mainstream...

Who knows? You might just be the next 50cent...

Ok maybe going over my head is going to far with it, maybe instead it's a form of envy that my brain does not put words together like that. My writing style just seems so pedestrian in contrast to yours, and that burns my soul. I guess being that you do write considerably more than I do in your day-to-day life, you have an advantage. Just you wait, many many years from now when I get my political career off the ground, I will own you in my mad English lyricism. Word.

Yo, sho! Mate, does my review writing style really go "whoosh" over your head?!? Heh heh, you'd have to wait and see how I write a Council report or evidence for the Land and Environment Court - now that is scary!
