I'm just here because studying is KILLING me. 6 subjects?! I... I envy you! I
have 12! TWELVE! T.T And I absolutely am going to sink this time because history
is so darn hard! Sob.... I notice that in my history syllabus, if you take a
close look, it's all about failures except for the 5 chapters dedicated to
Islam... typical... It's not exactly the happiest subject to study...
I'm sorry that I haven't answered your guestbook comment, temari. I'm always a
bit late in doing that and these exams aren't helping... Your English doesn't
seem too bad btw..
Well, thanks all for the luck! I certainly hope that Lady Luck is on my side
this time...
Since no one has started a Ghibli topic, I will just so I can see something when
I get back here .. . Well, I sometimes wonder what are those black things that Miyazaki
likes to put in his movies? Those squibbly ones like in Spirited Away, and the
servants in Howl's Moving Castle? Are they considered mushi or youkai, or...
what? How was Miyazaki inspired to create them? I notice that Clacifer seems to
be the only creature that seems to share the same sort of liquidity but has warm
colours...
Yay! I'm "(sort of) back! I'm still horribly ill and I still have blurry
vision most of the time so I can't look at the monitor for longer than 15 mins
per day (it sucks being ill). As for the affiliates Abul doesn't want the group
to have affiliates (if you want us to have affies you must spam his guestbook
about it *hint hint*).
Thanks for that link! Wow, you people are so nice... I seem to get some good
stuff from my friends here... I
wish I could do the same for you guys!
I can't buy them because 'certain people' think I shouldn't be focusing so much
on that sort of thing.. I know that it is because they care but it can get
irksome.. I remembered I had a VCD of Spirited Away once; but I don't know where
it has gone. Sigh.. Kinokuniya is in the capital. I'm.. living quite far from
there.. takes an airplane flight to get there.
I don't really feel like getting busy either. Ah well, at least I have one
subject pretty much okay; Accounts. lol I know one of my friends would be rather
mad if he saw this. He thinks that it's one of the hardest subjects. English...
somehow I lost my literature book and the stores don't have it now. I have read
the book though. And quite disliked it.
Hmm... I wonder if you will do art for studio ghibli one day, temari? Would be
curious to see...
Are we the only two posting here now? o.0 Come 7th of May until 22nd, I'll be
having exams; Someone else has to help this group survive until then! I don't
want to come here and find it deserted since my departure... haha.
Hi abul! Oh, you're just popping in.. and won't be back for a month?! T.T Like
watching your child growing? We're your kids? Or the cells/organs of your kid?
Okay, ignore my weird humour...
VeohTV basically lets you watch the whole versions of those movies they put out
on the Veoh vids website.. instead of just 5-10 minute previews. The quality and
screen size is better than You Tube's and Crunchyroll's, IMO.
Really? The whole movies? ermm... could you pass me a link or something then?
But not here; I don't think it's allowed on groups to pass around vid links..
but I'm not sure either.
Oh they sell the DVDs... but I'm not allowed to buy Japanese anime stuff here.
*sulks* I was told off for looking at the manga section at Kinokuniya Bookstore,
which was kind of weird since Kinokuniya is popular BECAUSE of manga. o.0 Well,
I would love to get those DVDs.. but I think I will have to 'earn' them
first,then.
Oh yes, the admins are all busy...I should be busy too, I have exams starting
next week's Thursday! But I wanna relax too.. haha.
and I've added you to my friendlist, Temari! ^.^
Well, I think xxKurumi and chibigirl77 are new here so -- WELCOME! Hope you have
fun and be active! Give abul's 'child' a growth spurt..
*Whispers* Lol! The part with BJ That guy is
funny~ Law of Ueki is so funny~ But yea, some parts are not that good~ But
overall, it's still really funny~ As for SaiMono, it's also really funny~ Both of
these series seriously need more love <3
Cool~ VeohTV!~ What does it do? I kinda forgot...
But then you can almost find everything on torrents~ They have like... the whole
Ghibli movies~ =3
And they don't sell the Ghibli movies in the DVD store near your place?
I think that the admins of this group is currently busy... and there's no
Affiliation are yet~
hey everybody!
im here to say im alive and will probably come back to mt in a month
and welcome to all new members, god im so happy to see my group growing, its
like seeing ur own child growing, well i guess
have fun!
*whispers back* Ueki was one of the first anime I really watched. I started from
that episode where he met that hip-hop guy..Animax didn't start from the
beginning when it started broadcasting here..when I finally saw the first few
episodes, I admit that those were a bit dull.. but Ueki overall was so fun to
watch! ^.^ And I love Saiunkoku Monogatari's ability to be both complex and
light-hearted..Yes, they need love! *whisper end*
That whisper was kind of long! Well,
yeah, Salma and I probably are kinda stalking each other.. :P Anyway, I
got myself VeohTV because it seems to be the best option for watching larger,
slightly clearer vids.. I dare not use torrents! My computer has been attacked
by viruses before after all.. And Google doesn't have Spirited Away or The Cat
returns... Well, with Veoh, I have found The Cat Returns. Haven't finish but it
looks promising. ^.^
Oh yeah, if studio-ghibli wants to affiliate with HMC, Maplerose has to be
contacted... But I just read on Paint-o-rama that she would be on vacation til
May 5th. Oh well. I'm not a member there, by the way. I take too long with my
walls as I am right now..
Lol. It's really impossible for me to be a sensei because I myself don't know
much about stuffs =3
*Whispers* That's true, not much people watch Saiunkoku Monogatari and Law of
Ueki~ They need love!
Oh you actually paid attention to that, Salma? Well,... I think we'll have to
ask abul or kashikosa first, shouldn't we? I think kashikosa would be more free
since abul's busy with his studies or something like that.. Hmm...I'll try and
watch those two movies after my exams. I'm now looking for links to the movies I
wanna watch..
Salma...you stalked me first! Oh yes, you did. I just mentioned that I joined
another group and you popped right over and asked to join at once.. nah, I'm
glad you joined anyway... ^.^ Nice to have such an attentive friend!
Temari: I seemed to have misunderstood it all, haven't I? Sorry! Hey, I took a
look at your userpage and you seem to watch an interesting variety of anime...
nice to know that someone else likes Saiunkoku Monogatari AND Ueki.. OK, I'll
stop here or else it'll be all out of topic.. haha
You can download Ghibli Movies on Torrents
I told Rei how to put music in his userpage And that's
all
Just call me Temari~ I don't want to be called Genius
Maybe the Earthsea books will make me wanna read books again~
Oh yea the movie with the girl saving the cat~ It's called The cat's return..
Look at the list of Ghibli movie on this page and you can see the
cover~
Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru and Taiyou no Uta.... Haven't seen both...
Are they Ghibli Movies?
To affiliate... You just pust a button of the other group own your own group~
Thank you temarigenius-san and gabychan! i shal lsurely watch it sometime i
hope!
aozora-chan: umm...huh? where do i watch my movies? sorry, i dont quite
understand...im pretty slow! gomen! i watch 'em on google videos. they had
howl's moving castle the full version so i was happy. but not
princess mononoke...and i dont remember about kiki's delivery service.
YOU STALKED ME FIRST! IM SURE OF IT!
nene, has anyone watched the movie "Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru" or
"Taiyou no Uta"? They were both soooo sad! IF you didn't watch them,
pleaaase WATCH THEM! I cried sooooo much when i watched them! gaoo! so sad! T-T

umm oh yeah! aozora-chan suggested on the HMC page that HMC and studio-ghibli
become affiliates! that's a great idea i think! but i dont know how to...so
umm...could we be affiliates? if so, please tell me what to do to post it on the
page that we're affiliates because i have no idea how to. im so bad with HTML.
T-T like i said, im really slow...except with math. i <3 math...and science.
but im sorta slow with science too but that's only because i have science first
thing in the morning! ugh! how annoying!
Salma :Now I'm the one who is behind..haha. Well, since gabychan and so many of
the world seem to love Totoro, yeah, watch it! Psst...tell me where you get your
movie from... Who stalked who first, I ask you? :P I want to watch the movie that
Tama-Neko reviewed..the one about the girl who helps a cat that turns out to be
a king. Tama-Neko...cat... . I miss
good animation.. online vids just don't do some anime justice.. especially the
older ones..
I started reading Earthsea from the second book, The Tombs of Atuan. At first, I
thought it was going to be one of those boring, cliche books set in some dusty
dry temple with depressing rites and rituals and total betrayal in the end. But
it turned out to be more. Hmm, now that I think of it, some part of it reminds
me of a bible story when the 'infidels' had to be 'led into the light' or
something similar..I don't read the bible, just find mentions of it in books so
I'm not sure.. How many times have I said that already?
gah, I miss reading Ursula Le Guin's style already.. Exams coming up... still
haven't finish reading Charles Dickens... I shouldn't have picked up such a
tome..
Well, see ya! Where's everyone else. may I ask?
temarigenius: Oh okay, so it's just me misunderstanding.. sorry! Wow, you're
really humble, admitting that you didn't teach him.. well, do I call you temari
or genius then? I can't always use such long name basics with you.. Yes, the
books are different, all right. Emm.. the Earthsea movie was done by a younger
Miyazaki right? I'm not sure. From what I know, there are three main books and
one that I think is a compilation of short stories related to it.. I'm not
certain though, again.

Oops, somehow my post got scrambled. Ah never mind...
Yea Phoenix~ You can watch the famous Totoro!~ =D
If you don't have much free time, just don't watch Earthsea~ It's so boring...
Ohh! In the book, that magician is the main character! That's
already very different...
So what they showed in the movie is... the story that's more at the back? And
Earthsea has... 3 books?
@Phoenixalcott: maybe watch Totoro or Laputa. Grave of the Fireflies is good too
if you like sad movies.
@Temarigenius: Yep, the LOTR books are deeper than the movies, IMO. And yes, the
main character of the Earthsea books is called Ged. He's a village boy who in
the end become the archmage. He's the bearded wizard who helped the prince in
the movie :p
In the movie, the main character is the young prince (I can't even remember his
name). He killed his father (the king) and then ran away.
gosh i feel so behind! ihave no idea what...earthsea or something is nor did i
read the lord of the rings trilogy...gah!
oh umm...sorry to change the topic but does anyone know what other studio ghibli
movie i should watch? i watched Howls-moving-castle, spirited away and princess
mononoke and i want to watch another one. i started kiki's delivery service but
i got kind of bored.
AOZORA-CHAN! YOU JOINED! *glomps* nice
seeing you here too!
i knew it...i knew it fromthe beginning...why are you stalking me?! (just joking
)
The books of Lord of the Rings is much deeper than the movies right..?
I only read the The Hobbit...-_-
I don't think I understood anything about the Earthsea movie... And the main
character is called Ged?
In the movie... the guy kills his father which is the King?
But then he's from the village in the book?
Oh Rei But then I didn't teach him vectoring
Gah! I wrote a long post but due to some malfunction, I have to write it over
again! Sheesh..
Yes, Earthsea is better as a book than a movie, from what I have heard.. Seen
Hallmark's live version? Did no justice at all..okay, here's a 'little'
summary..
First book: 'Wizard of Earthsea' opens in a village on a distant island.. Ged is
like any other village boy, except for his intense curiosity. A curiosity that
leads him to mimic the village witch's spell and strangely, succeed, albeit that
he has got bewitched goats chasing after him..lol. Realising his potential, the
witch takes him under her wing. But his stint of learning her petty spells is
short as the village is attacked by an armada of ships. Ged has to rely on his
meager knowledge of magic to save his village; this reveals the power and talent
inside him. It also sets Ged on a course that runs to the capital of the
Archipelago; to far, strange lands; to enemy's territory; to meet dragons and
worse; to the very ends of the earth; to the land of the dead itself...and to
discover himself.
How's that? ^.^
Temarigenius: I'm calling you a teacher because that's apparently why euforia
has been dedicating her art to you. And I think your vectors are mostly clean
and with good use of colours..
Gabychan : I don't know about any current Ghibli projects...but I'll let you
know if I hear/see anything new about it. What are your favourite Diana Wynne
Jones' books by the way?
Okay, I REALLY have to go to bed now. It's so late, it's almost early..
See you around!
The Earthsea book certainly have deeper meanings than the movie :p
It's like reading Eragon or Lord of the Rings (minus the epic battles) The original
book consists of 4 volumes, beginning with Ged while he was a young apprentice
and progressing until he is old. The movie is hard to understand because it skip
all the events until somewhere in the 4th volume where Ged meet the prince.
Also, I personally don't like how the movie seems to focus more on the prince
than Ged himself.
The Earthsea movie is... Umm... I just can't understand it
And I'm the vector teacher!? When did I
become a vector teacher?
I'm still quite a beginner... I only did less than 10 vectors
Yay!~ Gabychan!~ Your awesome Totoro wallpaper <3
The Earthsea Novel has deep meanings in it? Or it's hard o understand...?
Wow! 12 *_* That's double of mine...
Though I'm
going to have it next year
I guess I'm lucky not to have History
No worries! Focus on your exams for now =3
My grammar and vocab is very bad...
Black things?
I don't think I can remember....
But then Miyazaki always put interesting things in his movies~
Wish you best luck on your History!~

I don't even have a Kinokuniya near my city...
I have 6 subjects...
And I think that English is hard... I keep getting bad scores...
I was wanting to make a Ghibli art one day
So just wait

Hope you
get awesome scores~:)

It also sets Ged on a course that runs to the capital of the Archipelago; to far, strange lands; to enemy's territory; to meet dragons and worse; to the very ends of the earth; to the land of the dead itself...and to discover himself.
How's that? ^.^
Temarigenius: I'm calling you a teacher because that's apparently why euforia has been dedicating her art to you. And I think your vectors are mostly clean and with good use of colours..
Gabychan : I don't know about any current Ghibli projects...but I'll let you know if I hear/see anything new about it. What are your favourite Diana Wynne Jones' books by the way?
Okay, I REALLY have to go to bed now. It's so late, it's almost early..
See you around!

The Earthsea book certainly have deeper meanings than the movie :p
The original
book consists of 4 volumes, beginning with Ged while he was a young apprentice
and progressing until he is old. The movie is hard to understand because it skip
all the events until somewhere in the 4th volume where Ged meet the prince.
Also, I personally don't like how the movie seems to focus more on the prince
than Ged himself.
It's like reading Eragon or Lord of the Rings (minus the epic battles)
The Earthsea movie is... Umm... I just can't understand it
When did I
become a vector teacher?
And I'm the vector teacher!?
I'm still quite a beginner... I only did less than 10 vectors
Yay!~ Gabychan!~ Your awesome Totoro wallpaper <3
The Earthsea Novel has deep meanings in it? Or it's hard o understand...?
