I abandoned my fears when I realized they held me back (it's way easier said
than done, people). I used to be afraid of expressing my true self in public, as
well as talking and other simple conversational skills. As you can see, it was
hindering my ability to form acquaintances and relationships of any kind. So I
worked hard to get rid of said fears. Now I'll jabber anyone's ear off, and
dance around in public, even if people were to stop and stare. P=
@Saku: Yeah, we have such a big gallery already! So many artworks! And there
will be more coming soon *is almost done with promo vector*
Hehe, you're not afraid of anything? Wow, you're our hero
@Hikari: Urgh, I hate spiders too
And all insects, for that matter! I freak out whenever I see a large bug!
All your works are so lovely! Thank you for presenting them
*added*
I never thought this group would have such a huge gallery in a really short
period of time...
Thanks for accepting my invitation Hikari-chan, enjoy yourself ^-^
@Pande Yeah, lol, white border <333
And... I'm not afraid of anything *mwhahaha*
Thanks for the acceptance ^^
Thought I'd mention the other works of mine inspired by music... God Knows...[Vector] by
ASH-Hikari - My first real vector; for me, Haruhi + guitar = God Knows Famous
insert song from the anime. Fighting Dreamers by
ASH-Hikari - A line from the Naruto opening called "GO". The
picture is also a vectored screenshot from that opening. [PS] Ichijin no Kaze by
ASH-Hikari - Ichijin no Kaze is a track from the True Tears OST; really
beauitful piece ^^
And that's all for now
@Pande: Luckily I'm not afraid of much, but I have a great fear of spiders! Lol.
I also don't like looking at certain types of boats...they don't scare me, they
just make me feel uneasy.
@Dev: I'm glad I don't live there. I'm not afraid of earthquakes but my mom is.
She freaks out whenever the lamp moves a bit! And there haven't been any serious
earthquakes here since 1977 (7.2 magnitude ). Lol I'm more scared of zombies than I am of earthquakes!
Which brings me to my question: what are you afraid of?
I just noticed something: a lot of people's avatars have a white border! That's
so...cool!
@Pande: Ew, if that's what it's about, then no thanks. I know I wouldn't be able
to understand what they were singing, but just knowing what the sang about turns
me off.
I live on the ground floor of my apartments (only two stories anyway), and I
live in California, in a region near a fault line, meaning we get a lot more
earthquakes than other states. YAY, FUN! =D
@Erdbeermilch: That's kind of nasty, but on the other hand drunk people are fun
to listen to. You never know what they're going to say.
@Dev: I don't like modern rap music either. Somehow it doesn't have the same
charm as the one in the '90s. Like you said, almost all modern rappers sing
about prostitutes, having a lot of money and destroying their enemies. You know,
now that I think about it, this is exactly what manele talk about. Still
interested in listening to it?
Not to mention there's a kind of war here, between 'manelisti' (the one who
listen to manele) and rockers. You do NOT want to get caught in the middle
*is lucky to be at a high school of rockers*
Alas, I've never been good at sub-genres, so kindly excuse any mistakes I make
@Yoru: I want to see the view from the 10th floor! I live on the 4th and
consider myself lucky that I don't live on the ground floor, because if there
were an earthquake all 10 stories would fall on my head! I
wouldn't like that, it ish not pleasant.
@dev: then there is nothing to worry for.
and wow we are close, im from serbia
and im on 10th floor so i cant hear that much of a noise
rarely i hear someone making a party here...
@Anja: That's a pretty nice song. And dang, that Obama sure wants to be
president bad enough. xP
In that song, the singer kind of sounds like James LaBrie from Dream Theater.
Only a couple of the songs from the album Metropolis prt 2: Scenes from a Memory, really.
Speaking of Dream Theater.... THEY ARE PROBABLY MY FAVORITE BAND! =D
And I was gonna share a music video of a different band, but I'll save it for
the band highlight (which I should probably start writing soon).
Quote: I don't know who to pity,
that guy or the neighbors.
Easy for me, I pity all those he
woke up with his antics.
Quote: Unfortunately, here in
Romania it's not so out of the ordinary to hear loud music in the middle of the
night. Some people drive by in modern cars and turn the volume up (crappy music
included).
Ah, I know that. Back home my window is directly
on the route for drunk people too get home. Sometimes they start singing along
the way or just start talking out loud about random stuff, sometimes cars come
by too but not that often.
@Dev:
Quote: When people blast their
music, is it... like rock, metal, etc.?
Gosh I can't really
remember, I was half asleep. But I agree I wouldn't be as annoyed if it's at least a genre I like.
I don't like rap that much either and here in Germany we actually have rap
that's similar. I still remember that it was in the news and discussed in the
media wether the lyrics from those "songs" were actually a bad
influence on children or not, some albums got indexed because of the lyrics.
On a side note, I just went out and watched Barack Obama's speech in Berlin
today. The whole thing seemed more like a festival to me, you could buy beer and
food and we actually sat down in the nearby park and waited till the speech
started. They even had a band performing, I don't know them that well but maybe
some of you are interested, that's one of the songs they played: Reamonn - Tonight. Kind of
crazy isn't it?
Oooh, those are nice, Pande! I'll add them to the gallery right away!
:B
*needs to make more artz inspired by music*
That genre sounds kind of interesting, Pande. An American folk-ish sounding band
would have to be the Eagles of Death Metal. First of all, they are not death
metal. But their sound would be a mixture of hard rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass,
country and folk dance. Sounds odd, but they're a pretty humorous band. I mean,
they wrote an entire song about cherry soda.
As for a popular music from my country that I hate, it'd have to be modern rap
and pop hip-hop. Hip-hop by itself can be fun, but when it's mixed with the
whole pop culture, it becomes unbearable. As for why I dislike rap, I think I
already mentioned it.
Yeah, we all seem to be rockers.... well, I dunno of Scott can be considered a
rocker. He's a metal head.... or is there a different classification for
deathcore fans? I know that I've become a metal head...
*has been listening to Motley Crue and other Heavy Metal bands*
Okay, so everyone's previous works have been added that could fit the gallery.
But remember, future works must be inspired by a
band, song, and/or music genre, and must be stated in the item's
description. So, even if the item is named after a song, it will not be
admitted to the gallery unless it meets the requirement. We'll be lenient with
the previous works, seeing how this group didn't even exist back then. P=
I hereby request people to regard me as the lazy part of the group management
team
@Dev: yesh you are and we like you the way you are
@Yoru: well, I agree to including your works in the gallery. Looks like they
were inspired by songs so I see no problem.
Cool, most of the members here (if not all) are rockers! There is a very
annoying genre of music in Romania -manele. It's a mixture of Turkish folklore,
Romanian folklore and a few other genres. Trust me, you don't want your ears to
be poisoned with it And that's what those idiots play loud at night too! Any kind of genre that's
really popular in your country/region, but you dislike?
DarthTofu and Yoru, I added your works to the gallery
Temari: wow, those sure are a lot of groups! I'll affiliate them
merged: 07-24-2008 ~ 11:17am
Forgot to add, here are my own artworks that are inspired by music: Another Day In Paradise
- inspired by Phil Collins' "Another Day In Paradise" Once Upon A December -
inspired by the song with the same name, sung by Deana Carter (it's from the
soundtrack of Anastasia, the Disney film) Kiss from a Rose -
inspired by Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" Sleeping Sun - inspired
by Nightwish's "Sleeping Sun" Space Lord - inspired by
Monster Magnet's "Space Lord"
Are they good enough to add to the group's gallery?
Hi everyone. I forgot to introduce myself when I joined. ._. Hi, my name is
Scott and I like deathcore... I also like straight edge hardcore. Since favorite
bands tend to come and go, my current favorites are I
Built the Cross and Disfiguring
the Goddess. They are both the most brutalist Christian technical death
metal bands ever. I hope to get along with everyone and learn about other
people's genres and maybe share some stuff about mine.
Hey, thanks for the invite. This group looks cool, I want to join. ^_^
Musicians/bands I listen to are Muse, Incubus, Beirut, Gorillaz, Moby,
Radiohead, Gackt, Break of Reality, Coldplay, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Debussy,
Puffy, Ladytron, The Beatles... some other stuff I'm forgetting right now... eh,
good enough list for now, that's just the stuff I really like.
I also like jazz and chillout, but I don't know any specific artists,
unfortunately.
And... these are stuff in my gallery inspired by listening to music/both are
Incubus, though most of my stuff is actually inspired by Muse, but that's pretty
much everything in my gallery. XP Anti-Gravity by

eh... I live next to a firestation filled with drunks. So they're always
partying late into the night, and having access to FIRETRUCKS LEGALLY they tend

dude passes by in his car, it's always some sort of terrible rap...

@Yoru: I don't see why not. Though we should ask the other admins. As they said,
I'm too spoiled. Let them make a decision. P=
Anyway, wallpapers with titles of songs were obviously inspired by music, so
that's definitely acceptable. Just make sure to add how the song or band
inspired your work in future wallpapers.
@Pande: I R A SPOILED BRAT. =D
@Anja: When people blast their music, is it... like rock, metal, etc.? If so,
I'd consider you lucky. All we Americans get from blasted stereos and car
stereos are rap music with the most trashy lyrics you've ever heard. I know I
stated that I was open to genres, but modern rap is just awful! I used to listen
to rap in the mid to late 90's, and they sung about normal and pleasant stuff.
Now it's just about murdering a rival gang, or having sex with a prostitute....
seriously.
wow i like idea for this group.
layout is cool too. great job
can wallpapers with title from songs be accepted? i think they can (sorry i cant

can wallpapers from earlier be accepted too?
