I'm sure this is much more excited and feel happy much more than i strike top of

p/s: i really get deep touched when i know lots of member here do appreciated
this group... my favorite group... thanks...
I've submitted a wall... hope:last.leaf.of.autumn
And yes, I know what I was doing... so yeah...
EDIT: Group Page is updated. Please read the top section for the competition
details. Theme will be decided after a week when we compile a panel of
perferably 5 judges.
I can pick a fault in at least one wall but I won't tell anyone unless they pick
it (I didn't know how to correct it) bet you'll all be looking now huh?
kuroimisa hasn't picked it yet!
@Teryon : I know, since I mostly pick less known anime or categories too as my
wallies, that's why it's a problem that a bit hard to solve just by this group
@Tishdon : I thought I'm the only left here still using slow dial-up connection,
lol
Got kuroisima post in my GB. There are a lot of points rayearth made that I
agree with. I try to post comments on any links to walls that are left in this
groups GB, also I leave links to my latest walls for members comments. I have
only slow dial-up so I have only visited a few other members galleries to leave
comments (for what my comment is worth). But to address the current
questions;
1- It is one thing to think you are underappreciated but to actually meet the
criteria for this group was quite depressing. However knowing that somebody,
you probably haven't met yet, has your best interests in mind (to make better
walls) when visiting your walls is comforting. Being in this group hasn't
effected my fav ratio (low as it still is) and it has helped my to improve my
small drop of artistic skill. As with each wall, I try something different and
I know that the members of this group (who visit the GB) will leave comments
other then "it looks jaggered" or "so colourful, luv it!"
that help me to know how badly I botched that particular.
2- I have to follow Terra-chans suggestions on how to improve the popular
submissions section.
3- There definitely needs to be some criteria, how else would you feel a part of
the group if you didn't. Perhaps the friends rule needs to bve loosened (not
that I have many friends) but substantial posting does not always lead to more
friends but one posted thread could lead to more then 5 friends. Well I can
dream can't I.
4-i agree with Lastdinosaur suggestion. It would be great to select a wall at
random to feature in this groups page. I'd participate when I'm on-line.
Boy rayearth, welcome to whats probably the core of my problem. I dont DO the
popular animes, or if I do its typically less popular parts of them. Heck, look
at the number of G Gundam walls I have..definitely not your typically fav
series.
Hello, sorry for my inactivity in both this group or minitokyo itself in general
since It's been quite a busy weeks for me lately, though hopefully I'll be able
to work on new wallies in the near time.
I can't comments on point #1 because some members here did comments on my
wallies, though not all of them he he
as for the the point #2 your referring, it's quite an ironic just like some
people said, maybe we should sort it backwards, the one whose gotten less
comments or fav will be put in the showcase or otherwise this will become
another paradox too
point no #3... hmm actually there are many member who had plenty of friends but
still receive less attention, so I think the rule should be more dynamic on
these.
point no #4, ah yes, I already give my reason above...sorry about that again he
he
as for the group itself, maybe we should focus on the wallies itself than the
members in general, since there's a possibility that a member had a some wallies
where one had receive less attention but the other receive more fav post due to
external reason beside the member itself, i.e :
1. the time the wallies posted, some wallies that's posted in busy upload time
had less chance appears in the main page due to many new wallies posted shortly
after this wall been uploaded.
2. some technically great walls I've seen had less fav point because it feature
anime characters or image which are from less popular anime (just try to compare
how many fav for one walls in gundam seed or other fav anime section compared
with other wall from less known anime series but have more better extraction,
color, or background in the walls).
however, I do still recognize that the number of friends that a member had have
quite an impact on the comments he/she'll receive beside the quality of the
walls itself
Now for a brief announcent from your friendly neighborhood Ultratech
inventor..
Comments:
01. Underappreciated/ Appreciated Paradox~ People come here to be appreciated.
Some feel they are even more unappreciated due to this group, because it
ironically has an inverse effect :/
-Hmmm. I suppose the fact that very few of us actually take the time to go
through their walls and offer constructive critiscism is the prima causa of this
little problem. Not an easy one to solve either, some of us have many many
walls. Plus, with some, its hard to provide decent comments(not 'oooooogie
coolbeans FAV! or similar statements) on. Perhaps a rotating set of 6 walls
every week, selected by number of *constructive* comments(yeah, neccesitates
active mods...::steps into the shadows quietly::), put up for further comment.
Of course, enforcing this will be difficult, but hell, if people dont WANT to do
something they wont, pure and simple. One of the facts of the universe.
02. Popular Submissions We need to feature underappreciated walls. Not those who
are getting plenty of attention.
- Well, using fav`s here would be the simplest solution. Or set of randomly
chosen judges once a month draws up a list from everyone`s walls and then those
are favored. As for how to avoid favoritism(heh) in THIS department, there are
perhaps a few solutions.
-1. Ban the judges from chosing their own walls. After all, since the judge list
changes everyone will get their shot eventually, ne?
-2. Limit them to 1 during their time. Fair both ways, I think.
-3. Just trust in them to not be fav-hogs. Me honestly Id rather have
constructive comments than favs, or suggestions on new stylistic directions,
SOMEthing.
03. Member Selection Criteria Can be harsh, or can be ok at the moment. There
needs to be some ammendment.
-See, HERE`s the rub. ALOT of people can feel underappreciated. Favs alone do
not appreciation make, at least to those of us who actually give a frell about
improving themselves artistically, and all that noise. Perhaps the solution to
#1 can be implemented here, as well. Though it might let in some really high
folks, but hell..*IM* not exactly a low level myself, am i?
04. Member Activity Yes. There are some inactive members (you know who you are,
because you're not even reading this pfft jk) and we need to increase the
activity for all this to WORK.
-Yeah, well, shit happens here. I personally have just adjusted to my new job,
made me tired as hell despite my overwhelming creativity increase(suffice it to
say I employ disciplines of the mind to enhance myself; if thou art honestly
interested, I can start giving pointers..just be wary of the rabbit hole
syndrome), if one is tired then it dont matter what you WANT to do, you`re gonna
sleep. Henceforth tonight Im gonna go on a mad run of people`s stuff and offer
up what I can. I can only ask it in return.
As for other people...::shrug:: Such is the will of Man. If they dont want to do
it, they wont do it. If they want to procrastinate, they will. Short of banning
members who dont make x amount of comments weekly or some such nonsense, there`s
not much we can do.
Now, onto some suggestions and MY thoughts.
[LastDinosaur] suggests:: Election of committed, non-corrupt and unbiased judges
to browse through galleries and pick wallies for display; pick of some better
wallpapers that deserve a second look.
-Good luck finding them. Id do it, but the fact that I volunteer automatically
makes me suspect dont it? Honestly,
I dont really care one way or the other for the person`s feelings involved..ok,
I do, but its not an automatic reaction. Go look up Aspergers syndrome and
you`ll understand what I mean. Anyhow, its a nice idea, but hard to
implement.
[kuroimisa] replies:: Ok, well if that's the case that you feel that appreciated
members should leave, perhaps we can pass them over and graduate them to the
wallpapercritiqueclub? The thing about this group that sets their group apart is
that we are trying hard to improve to get better recognition. Their group aims
to give out good advice and point out stuff... that's the difference. So I guess
if people are looking for recognition AND criticism, come here, but if you have
the recognition, just go there... fair... unfair... yes... no... have a
banana?
-Excellent idea. We`ll have to start doing this soon, I imagine. But there might
be other groups like this...ok, so who cares, we`ll do it anyway. p0w3r T0 7h3
und3r4ppr3c14t3d p33pz! ::chuckles:: Sorry, I know some hacker friends, l33t
speak comes to me every now and then.
[Terra-chan] says:: "Actually since joining this group I've felt a lot more
confident in doin wallpapers I feel appreciated just by being a member of this
group so I've stopped worrying about my favorites ratio so much and have started
to just go with the flow."
- I must admit, Ive gotten the same way. Though critiscism would be nice, and
its simply human nature, whatever thy mental creed, to desire attention and
recognition, unless its been beat out of you by experiences unknown
Another idea: perhaps collaborative efforts on walls? ive seen it done a few
times around here, it seems like a decent idea. A mixing of styles and such. Or
perhaps a theme run? Every month pick a theme(grungy, natural background, etc, a
certain series\character\mecha) and we all do a wall in that theme? Part of the
solution to getting things going more might be to start such events. people LOVE
this kind of crap usually, and it sounds like fun to me
Ok, so thats my speel. OH yeah, *my* least appreciated walls follow:
well, I got the post on my Gb so Im here to give my 2 cents:
Im gonna be totally honest, since I joined this group not much appreciation has
been gained by me...but I haven't lost any either, so far the walls I've seen
from most of the members here ARE unappreciated. I just think you guys should
come up with a strategy like that of the Aspiring-Mafia to bring appreciation to
those in need.
Quote: 01. group aims: feel
appreciated rather than underappreciated ~the awful
paradox~
Paradoxes give me a headache lol. But feeling appriechiated i think was the
original goal of this group, and its a pretty hard goal to reach. The first
thing people have to understand is how many favs there walls actually deserve,
people are never gonna be happy if they want more favs for their wall than they
actually deserve. How this group can help with that is by giving their walls
real comments, rather than 'Great wall man,' we need to tell others what needs
to be fixed in their wall, give good critizisms basically. Even if we got
several comments that say our walls are great, but if they're really not as good
as they should be then we'll never get the favs. Our definition of being
appreichated is getting a fair ammount of favs correct? The part thats hardest
to determine is how many favs our walls actually deserve, and the only way of
finding an answer to that question is knowing how much effort we put into it,
was it enough? Did we slack off somewhere and hope noone would notice? Listening
to the opinions of commenters who just say 'Wow thats a great wall' doesnt help
answer that question. What the group can do is give real comments that say how
good a wall really is, completely bashing others walls wont help either, but
some critizism is definetely necessary.
As for the good walls that really do deserve more favs, this group can help with
that too. Selected 'under appreciated' walls could be posted in place of the
'most popular' walls. Once a wall gets the favorites it deserves, it will be
replaced by another wall that needs more favs, and there will have to be a rule
saying the same wall cant be placed up there more than once, and can only remain
up for only a week. The admins will have to maintain this, since theres really
no script that can be written to do it for them, or if there is one, we'll need
to find someone who can program it. Although just placing walls on the top of
the group page by itself wont help much, its up to us to comment or fav those
walls, and everyone will have to participate for it to work. The more people who
join this group the more sucessful this system will become.
Quote: 02. the group popular
submissions (I personally would like a round robin thingo... just random or
something... but dunno);
The group popular submissions definetly has to be removed, its the opposite of
the goals of this club.. the already appreichated walls dont need any more
attention. A random wall display could be a good idea, but its probably better
that walls are placed up there based on selected judges desitions. The
underappriechared walls are what really need more attention, it will be up to
the judges to deside which walls are underappriechated or not. Of course these
judges will have to be elected or something, so thats its fair to the whole
group, also if a judge ends up just placing his or her walls up there then
they'll have to be removed. So finding good judges might be tough, but it
probably has to be done. Also being a judge means you would have to commit a lot
of time to the group, since u'd have to look through several galleries to find
these underappreichated walls.
Quote: 03. member judging criteria~
to scrap or not to scrap~ to change or not to change etc (too much Hamlet,
sorry) and
The current criteria is too strict in my opinion, u cant determine whats under
appriechated by just numbers.. someone who deserves 50 favs per wall and only
gets 10 is still under appreichated, and with our current criteria they wouldnt
qualify. Also if someone starts getting appriechated, they should be removed
from the group, although they'd still be able to help out here and there. I mean
this group is for ppl who need the favs, once they have it theres no point being
in here. Back to the criteria, these numbers just wont cut it.. Members will
have to be individually selected by either the admins or the apointed judges, to
make sure they're really underappreichated.. they should have a chance to
explain why they think they should be in this group too, rather than just
stating their statistics.. we want ppl who want to help others, not just help
theirself get more favs.. so we should be more strict about letting the right
people in, and make sure we dont leave any deserving members out just cause the
statistics dont work for them.
Quote: 04. overall activity of the
group
sadly i noticed this group hasnt been very active of recent, theres no quick fix
to that.. if people want to participate, they have to. Perhaps they dont feel
this group gives them the results the desire, ppl who just join to get more
favs, and then dont get the favs they want.. im guessing those ppl will just
leave. Theres noting we can do about it recently, although it might be a good
idea to spread the word of this groups existance.. im sure we could use more new
members, and the more members we have the more efficent this group will be. Also
there should be more stuff to do in this club, right now it seems that we just
post are walls and leave. Something like a weekly wall would be interesting,
where a random under appriechated wall can be selected and posted somewhere in
the group page, and the members of the group can make comments on it in the GB.
Im sure theres several other stuff this group could do too.
Anyway, feel free to ask any questions on my ideas, or make any comments, ill
try to reply as soon as possible

I don't think there's a lot of activity here... and it's likely that people
don't check on other people's walls that often... Not sure how to get that
going... People all have different motivations.
I think having a monthly random collection, or at least once every 2 weeks,
would be cool... and maybe it can be oh... 6 older wallpapers from a random
selection that haven't gotten much notice and 6 newer wallpapers that have
popped up in the last month.
I think the criteria are good. Actually since joining this group I've felt a lot
more confident in doin wallpapers I feel
appreciated just by being a member of this group so I've stopped worrying about
my favorites ratio so much and have started to just go with the flow.
This is ridiculous, so I'm posting here in the guestbook rather than that
gayarse top part... something happened to the guestbook on ie... don't know why
it disappeared... tried editing the html... removing ALL the html and it doesn't
work... I'll look into it.
Anyway, there is a group reformation thing going on. I have randomly (well not
randomly) selected some members to discuss the reformation of the group to
improve this current situation. Everything can only go onward ! (banzai
lol)
Discuss nicely peeps... whether it's by PM or through this gbook which can only
be like um seen in Firefox--- I've contacted you... you all know who you are.
Other
members, feel free to join in ^_^

Be nice... and actively participate!
It may take a few hours, a few days or even more than a week, but this will
continue until everyone has reached a conclusion and that will be FINAL. The
group will change to whatever you all decide on... okies? Teryon, they're all
yours to monitor ^^ I gtg study... and damn I still can't get the gbook to
appear (._.) I've reported it... so hopefully it'll be fixed soon
Edit: I dunno what happened.. but dont think my walls are too underappreichated
anymore, lol. Some fluke, eh? Im used to like 5 favs per wall, this is new lol
Hey~ I was looking at peoples signatures for groups I might like to join and
found this one... I think that I qualify...
Average of 5 favs/submission
Average of about 1 friend/week here (average about 2.5 made on me)
Average about 1.5 levels/per week here.
I frankly think My preference in wallpapering is to make walls of series that
are either already underappreciated or Receive little notice because of content
^_^;
Hehehe... nothing has been going on too much in the group lately, though it'd be
nice if people were starting to submit their links ! *humph*
But anyways... great to see you're actively participating and having such great
interest in the group
Well i dont really care if someone has better walls than me, or if anyone thinks
im better than them, cause really anyone can make what im making.. its just my
view on things, the way i color my walls, the shapes i use, they're just my form
of expression. Im sure lots of people dont really care for my art, but im not
making these walls for those people. And you shouldnt compare yourself to
others, Teryon, you have qualities in your walls that make them your own, and if
u think someone elses walls are better for any reason, just remember you'll be
able to do the same after some practice.
Lol... I don't think it offensive, but at the end of the day, it's still friends
who are the ones interested in your work. I know usually it's other people who
do pass by and give a fave, but eventually you'll probably bump into those
people again, and they'll add you to their friends. That's the way I see it
anyway... many many people add those people who fave them to their list
straightaway. That is something I don't do... and I'm not saying the people in
the group here do... well even if they did it doesn't matter-- *sigh* artistic
impression is something that varies from person to person. Someone's beauty may
be someone's disgust~ it can't be helped -.- The most we can do really, is just
keep on trying new things and trying till we break our style.
Quote by Teryonooooooooook.
Sharinganknight, ramchong, LastDino..y`all seem to compose walls better than me.
So how do ye do it?
I don't think i'm better than you... Teryon... BG wise you can addin more
special effects then me which i don't even know how to do it... Besides...
recently i found out that actually favs doesn't come by your friendlist... like
me! over 200 "stalkers" but only less than 10% of them will look at
it... (they took 50% on my wall fav, then 50% from other member i don't even
recognize...)
So one thing for sure... if teryon and other
best waller put the wallie in front of homepage without remove it or push down
by new subs... i'm sure the result won't come to what i can see now in your
gallery... (Your gallery rocks! Mate...)
But i do know that you need to involve a lot of activity in MT for sure... juz
to raise up your existant in MT!! bcos you can't expect people every day
purposely go and surf your userpage rite...?
So i can say that i'm active in mt... i'm too curious about everything happen
here... so they started add me to their fav list to wait for my new subs and
some of them read my comments on thred or their gallery comment find that
"this guy got some idea... let's see what he got..."
So... Teryon ... be confident to yourselves... your artwork do rock!
p/s: sorry if any member find my opinion above offensive... but that's juz my
own thinking...
Just checked out your links koruimisa especially liked http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/110257/
I can't believe you only got 4 favs + mine -jipped. It is the clearest and best
manga scan I think I have ever seen, my votes for this one - what can I say i'm
a Fruba fan.

I personally have just adjusted to my new job, made me tired as hell despite my overwhelming creativity increase(suffice it to say I employ disciplines of the mind to enhance myself; if thou art honestly interested, I can start giving pointers..just be wary of the rabbit hole syndrome), if one is tired then it dont matter what you WANT to do, you`re gonna sleep. Henceforth tonight Im gonna go on a mad run of people`s stuff and offer up what I can. I can only ask it in return.
As for other people...::shrug:: Such is the will of Man. If they dont want to do it, they wont do it. If they want to procrastinate, they will. Short of banning members who dont make x amount of comments weekly or some such nonsense, there`s not much we can do.
Now, onto some suggestions and MY thoughts.
[LastDinosaur] suggests:: Election of committed, non-corrupt and unbiased judges to browse through galleries and pick wallies for display; pick of some better wallpapers that deserve a second look.
-Good luck finding them. Id do it, but the fact that I volunteer automatically makes me suspect dont it?
Honestly,
I dont really care one way or the other for the person`s feelings involved..ok,
I do, but its not an automatic reaction. Go look up Aspergers syndrome and
you`ll understand what I mean. Anyhow, its a nice idea, but hard to
implement.
[kuroimisa] replies:: Ok, well if that's the case that you feel that appreciated members should leave, perhaps we can pass them over and graduate them to the wallpapercritiqueclub? The thing about this group that sets their group apart is that we are trying hard to improve to get better recognition. Their group aims to give out good advice and point out stuff... that's the difference. So I guess if people are looking for recognition AND criticism, come here, but if you have the recognition, just go there... fair... unfair... yes... no... have a banana?
-Excellent idea. We`ll have to start doing this soon, I imagine. But there might be other groups like this...ok, so who cares, we`ll do it anyway. p0w3r T0 7h3 und3r4ppr3c14t3d p33pz! ::chuckles:: Sorry, I know some hacker friends, l33t speak comes to me every now and then.
[Terra-chan] says:: "Actually since joining this group I've felt a lot more confident in doin wallpapers I feel appreciated just by being a member of this group so I've stopped worrying about my favorites ratio so much and have started to just go with the flow."
- I must admit, Ive gotten the same way. Though critiscism would be nice, and its simply human nature, whatever thy mental creed, to desire attention and recognition, unless its been beat out of you by experiences unknown
Another idea: perhaps collaborative efforts on walls? ive seen it done a few times around here, it seems like a decent idea. A mixing of styles and such. Or perhaps a theme run? Every month pick a theme(grungy, natural background, etc, a certain series\character\mecha) and we all do a wall in that theme? Part of the solution to getting things going more might be to start such events. people LOVE this kind of crap usually, and it sounds like fun to me
Ok, so thats my speel. OH yeah, *my* least appreciated walls follow:

So few comments....:(
well, I got the post on my Gb so Im here to give my 2 cents:
Im gonna be totally honest, since I joined this group not much appreciation has been gained by me...but I haven't lost any either, so far the walls I've seen from most of the members here ARE unappreciated. I just think you guys should come up with a strategy like that of the Aspiring-Mafia to bring appreciation to those in need.
Paradoxes give me a headache lol. But feeling appriechiated i think was the original goal of this group, and its a pretty hard goal to reach. The first thing people have to understand is how many favs there walls actually deserve, people are never gonna be happy if they want more favs for their wall than they actually deserve. How this group can help with that is by giving their walls real comments, rather than 'Great wall man,' we need to tell others what needs to be fixed in their wall, give good critizisms basically. Even if we got several comments that say our walls are great, but if they're really not as good as they should be then we'll never get the favs. Our definition of being appreichated is getting a fair ammount of favs correct? The part thats hardest to determine is how many favs our walls actually deserve, and the only way of finding an answer to that question is knowing how much effort we put into it, was it enough? Did we slack off somewhere and hope noone would notice? Listening to the opinions of commenters who just say 'Wow thats a great wall' doesnt help answer that question. What the group can do is give real comments that say how good a wall really is, completely bashing others walls wont help either, but some critizism is definetely necessary.
As for the good walls that really do deserve more favs, this group can help with that too. Selected 'under appreciated' walls could be posted in place of the 'most popular' walls. Once a wall gets the favorites it deserves, it will be replaced by another wall that needs more favs, and there will have to be a rule saying the same wall cant be placed up there more than once, and can only remain up for only a week. The admins will have to maintain this, since theres really no script that can be written to do it for them, or if there is one, we'll need to find someone who can program it. Although just placing walls on the top of the group page by itself wont help much, its up to us to comment or fav those walls, and everyone will have to participate for it to work. The more people who join this group the more sucessful this system will become.
The group popular submissions definetly has to be removed, its the opposite of the goals of this club.. the already appreichated walls dont need any more attention. A random wall display could be a good idea, but its probably better that walls are placed up there based on selected judges desitions. The underappriechared walls are what really need more attention, it will be up to the judges to deside which walls are underappriechated or not. Of course these judges will have to be elected or something, so thats its fair to the whole group, also if a judge ends up just placing his or her walls up there then they'll have to be removed. So finding good judges might be tough, but it probably has to be done. Also being a judge means you would have to commit a lot of time to the group, since u'd have to look through several galleries to find these underappreichated walls.
The current criteria is too strict in my opinion, u cant determine whats under appriechated by just numbers.. someone who deserves 50 favs per wall and only gets 10 is still under appreichated, and with our current criteria they wouldnt qualify. Also if someone starts getting appriechated, they should be removed from the group, although they'd still be able to help out here and there. I mean this group is for ppl who need the favs, once they have it theres no point being in here. Back to the criteria, these numbers just wont cut it.. Members will have to be individually selected by either the admins or the apointed judges, to make sure they're really underappreichated.. they should have a chance to explain why they think they should be in this group too, rather than just stating their statistics.. we want ppl who want to help others, not just help theirself get more favs.. so we should be more strict about letting the right people in, and make sure we dont leave any deserving members out just cause the statistics dont work for them.
sadly i noticed this group hasnt been very active of recent, theres no quick fix to that.. if people want to participate, they have to. Perhaps they dont feel this group gives them the results the desire, ppl who just join to get more favs, and then dont get the favs they want.. im guessing those ppl will just leave. Theres noting we can do about it recently, although it might be a good idea to spread the word of this groups existance.. im sure we could use more new members, and the more members we have the more efficent this group will be. Also there should be more stuff to do in this club, right now it seems that we just post are walls and leave. Something like a weekly wall would be interesting, where a random under appriechated wall can be selected and posted somewhere in the group page, and the members of the group can make comments on it in the GB. Im sure theres several other stuff this group could do too.
Anyway, feel free to ask any questions on my ideas, or make any comments, ill try to reply as soon as possible
I don't think there's a lot of activity here... and it's likely that people don't check on other people's walls that often... Not sure how to get that going... People all have different motivations.
I think having a monthly random collection, or at least once every 2 weeks, would be cool... and maybe it can be oh... 6 older wallpapers from a random selection that haven't gotten much notice and 6 newer wallpapers that have popped up in the last month.
I think the criteria are good. Actually since joining this group I've felt a lot more confident in doin wallpapers
I feel
appreciated just by being a member of this group so I've stopped worrying about
my favorites ratio so much and have started to just go with the flow.
This is ridiculous, so I'm posting here in the guestbook rather than that gayarse top part... something happened to the guestbook on ie... don't know why it disappeared... tried editing the html... removing ALL the html and it doesn't work... I'll look into it.
Anyway, there is a group reformation thing going on. I have randomly (well not randomly) selected some members to discuss the reformation of the group to improve this current situation. Everything can only go onward ! (banzai lol)
Discuss nicely peeps... whether it's by PM or through this gbook which can only be like um seen in Firefox--- I've contacted you... you all know who you are.
Other
members, feel free to join in ^_^
Topics are namely:
01. group aims: feel appreciated rather than underappreciated ~the awful paradox~;
02. the group popular submissions (I personally would like a round robin thingo... just random or something... but dunno);
03. member judging criteria~ to scrap or not to scrap~ to change or not to change etc (too much Hamlet, sorry) and
04. overall activity of the group
Be nice... and actively participate!
It may take a few hours, a few days or even more than a week, but this will continue until everyone has reached a conclusion and that will be FINAL. The group will change to whatever you all decide on... okies? Teryon, they're all yours to monitor ^^ I gtg study... and damn I still can't get the gbook to appear (._.) I've reported it... so hopefully it'll be fixed soon
Latest underappreichated walls:
Edit: I dunno what happened.. but dont think my walls are too underappreichated anymore, lol. Some fluke, eh? Im used to like 5 favs per wall, this is new lol
Hey~ I was looking at peoples signatures for groups I might like to join and found this one... I think that I qualify...
Average of 5 favs/submission
Average of about 1 friend/week here (average about 2.5 made on me)
Average about 1.5 levels/per week here.
I frankly think My preference in wallpapering is to make walls of series that are either already underappreciated or Receive little notice because of content ^_^;
Hehehe... nothing has been going on too much in the group lately, though it'd be nice if people were starting to submit their links ! *humph*
But anyways... great to see you're actively participating and having such great interest in the group
Well i dont really care if someone has better walls than me, or if anyone thinks im better than them, cause really anyone can make what im making.. its just my view on things, the way i color my walls, the shapes i use, they're just my form of expression. Im sure lots of people dont really care for my art, but im not making these walls for those people. And you shouldnt compare yourself to others, Teryon, you have qualities in your walls that make them your own, and if u think someone elses walls are better for any reason, just remember you'll be able to do the same after some practice.
Lol... I don't think it offensive, but at the end of the day, it's still friends who are the ones interested in your work. I know usually it's other people who do pass by and give a fave, but eventually you'll probably bump into those people again, and they'll add you to their friends. That's the way I see it anyway... many many people add those people who fave them to their list straightaway. That is something I don't do... and I'm not saying the people in the group here do... well even if they did it doesn't matter-- *sigh* artistic impression is something that varies from person to person. Someone's beauty may be someone's disgust~ it can't be helped -.- The most we can do really, is just keep on trying new things and trying till we break our style.
I don't think i'm better than you... Teryon... BG wise you can addin more special effects then me which i don't even know how to do it... Besides... recently i found out that actually favs doesn't come by your friendlist... like me! over 200 "stalkers" but only less than 10% of them will look at it... (they took 50% on my wall fav, then 50% from other member i don't even recognize...)
So one thing for sure... if teryon and other best waller put the wallie in front of homepage without remove it or push down by new subs... i'm sure the result won't come to what i can see now in your gallery... (Your gallery rocks! Mate...)
But i do know that you need to involve a lot of activity in MT for sure... juz to raise up your existant in MT!! bcos you can't expect people every day purposely go and surf your userpage rite...?
So i can say that i'm active in mt... i'm too curious about everything happen here... so they started add me to their fav list to wait for my new subs and some of them read my comments on thred or their gallery comment find that "this guy got some idea... let's see what he got..."
So... Teryon ... be confident to yourselves... your artwork do rock!
p/s: sorry if any member find my opinion above offensive... but that's juz my own thinking...
ooooooooook. Sharinganknight, ramchong, LastDino..y`all seem to compose walls better than me. So how do ye do it?
Just checked out your links koruimisa especially liked http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/110257/ I can't believe you only got 4 favs + mine -jipped. It is the clearest and best manga scan I think I have ever seen, my votes for this one - what can I say i'm a Fruba fan.
