PwnOXzOr, I don't think reporting members is the ultimate goal of this group. We
are here to help others, not really to prowl around and report people, though
that is one of the methods by which we help maintain the forums. I also don't
like calling people scum, even while some deserve the title. More like bannable
members due to mass spam. haha
Anyways, I'm sure the community would appreciate your help for the new members
and keeping the forums and galleries clean. Just don't make reporting people the
reason you do things.
Know this. I am not going to sign up...yet. I don't I'm ready to be honored in
such a group as this one. I try my best to help noobs. I'm going to try harder.
I've reported several scum. I'm going to report more. I'm going to make this
place immaculate. I'll show you. Before the end of summer I'm going to be on the
list of aspiring members. That...is a promise.
Speaking of which, I may be very busy next week because I will also be moving
into my college dorm. I have transition week as well, so I may not be online as
often as I would like to. Furthermore, if I do not bring my computer to campus,
I will only be able to access the internet only at nights and weekends. If I
bring my computer with me, I will only be able to access the internet on the
weekdays. It's just a forewarning for my college year.

Shinsengumi was back because I haven't really seen
him online.. I guess its the time difference? well here's a belated
welcome back to you ^^
Shinsengumi-kun is back on campus, however, the situation being that freshmen
are moving in and people are coming back in Cornell, so shinsengumi and I have a
lot of duties on hand right now, therefore, we could not visit minitokyo quite
frequently
i personally have not visisted minitokyo for a long time, neither has
shinsengumi i think
Anyway goodluck with your college apps. Man those were such a pain.. ^__^ I just
realized that while you apply for colleges I'll be looking for jobs...... okay
now I'm feeling kind of old.
And I didn't know Shinsengumi was back because I haven't really seen him

I'm taking a break filling out these piles of application forms and writing
essays. Someone save me!!!!
*ehem* Anyways, thanks unicorn and aa-chan for you comments here. I have yet to
look into the thread again, lol, but I'll certainly take what you have said to
heart. There we go, how's that for a nice smiley. hehe
And it's good to have shinsengumi back, though I missed his return by what, 5
days? haha. anyways, I'll try to keep up a semblance to "performing my
duty" for this group and as an Elite, so I'll try my best to help out in
the forums as much as my schedule allows. I know that in the past weeks I have
been very "not-here" on MT, and I ask for you understanding. College
apps really are a huge thing for me right now and I really cannot afford to mess
them up.
Anyways, have fun. And a big welcome for kaolla-kake.

Sheesh, tell me about it. I haven't seen much in the way of
good discussion with the exception of the thread I created about the many
changes at Minitokyo.
Quote by kaolla-kakeOkie...I applied
here cuz Mel reffered me ^^. Hope I can join!
I know that is true
However, tough times call for tough actions, plus a subnet can only contain a
fixed number of addresses anyway, and a lot of ISP do not bind IP addresses,
subnet is the only valid way to get through
Quote by SilentMasamuneYou won't
believe it...there's an emergency in the forums. We have a
flamer and serial spammer as the same member on the loose. So many
threads were created by the member that it's impossible to report them
all. This calls for one hell of a clean-up day.
yes, indeed, by the name of asshole, however, i suspect that him is the same as
coolassdick, by the way of their behavior, it is reasonable to assume they are
really the same person
edit: IP Ban unfortunately does not really do anything, it is rather easily to
change IP address, However, if you ban the subnet or host, that would accomplish
more

It's not silly at all. . . I certainly did it
myself for the very same reason for quite a while.
Anyhow, I guess I should take a quick glance at that thread when I take a
chance.

For those of you who have read SilentMasamune's thread, "recent changes in
mt," you will have noticed certain criticism on my actions around the
forum.
I have made what I think is a reasoned reply today. However, I want to ask all
my fellow members of Chaos-Cross to also comment and/or criticize what I have
done and how I have done it. That is the demi-moderation that many members feel
I am doing.
A few highlights of their criticisms:
1. I sound patronizing. That I admit. I probably do. My debating years probably
did not help things.
2. I assume that people don't read the rules. That I also admit. Writing only
"please read the rules" does imply a certain assumption.
3. I want to be a moderator too much. That I have to deny. I don't. Really.
I welcome the opinions, criticism, as well as suggestions of my fellow group
members. I really do want to help MT become better and if my current style is
counter production, I would like to improve.
Thank you all.
Woah I just went through and read that impossibly long discussion in Mel's
thread just to see what you were talking about.
To be honest, and please take this lightly, I can see where other members are
coming from in their comments about you. Not that I think the same way and think
you exercise decisive moderation in a patronizing manner - its just that some
(or quite a few, probably, seeing as how often you're in the forums pointing out
policy-violating threads) people don't come across the EternalParadox that is
not in his 'Patrol Captain' mode. I remember when Shinsengumi first swept in and
closed this one duplicate thread I made during my first week on MT - that was a
scary noob experience. If he hadn't visited my gb I may have still thought of
him as a pompous patronizing ivy league student who's probably a dork and needs
to feel better about himself. ^^ hehe
So maybe you should take into consideration that its that much easier for
members to misinterpret a few of your posts and make assumptions about your
attitudes and/or aspirations to become moderator. And maybe try to sound a bit
more personable, as I'm sure you are.
But I don't really see the need for you to 'improve'.. not every member takes
offense to our searchbox reminders, and these upset members (many of them not
newcomers) have broken MT rules. And the
bit about your counter-productive presence in MT, I completely disagree with.
Some people may have been taken aback by your matter-of-factness, but for those
of us that know, it is indisputable that you contribute significantly to making
MT 'a better organized and clean community'. ^^
so yea. I tend to babble without structure. hope you get my gist
Quote by JyeBlade1Who the heck is going
to submit a hentai scan to MT? The things some people do really amaze
me.
You'd be surprised how many actually. There are a lot of people who are itching
to submit hentai and even more trying to get them. This is one door that MT has
shut and I believe must keep closed. There are many really young kids here, some
who are less than 10 years old. There are plenty of other places to get hentai,
and I feel strongly that MT should not become another one of those
places.
