Jacques v0.2.0
has been finished, but theres some catches. Because I totally changed and
rewrote the database and user authentication layers, the code used to create new
users and edit pages has been removed for now. I'll reimpliment that stuff in
v0.2.1, and I'll upgrade the version we are using on our page when I finish
writing that next version.
Bel-san: I've made that template you sent me into an alternative style sheet. If
you are using Firefox, you can see it by going into the View menu > Page
Style > UPSD Test Skin.
Keep in mind that once we have decided on a skin to use, using CSS, I can do a
hell of alot more than what you are limited to with a usual user skin. For
example, I could set a tiled background to <body>, move and change the
font size of the menu, use PNGs for the background images, etc, etc. If there's
something you are not sure I'll be able to change, just ask me (the answer will
prolly be yes anyway ).
I'll start fixing up the contest winners stuff in the next hour and get back to
improving Jacques after I finish that.
Me and my neighbour are working on making our WiFi network more reliable, and
during this time, it may actually become more unreliable than it has before, and
that affects my web server. So if our page doesnt appear to work like it should
do (because the external stylesheet and javascript from my server dont load),
dont panic, it should (hopefully) all starting soon[ish]. It should all be good
by the end of the week.

It sounds to me as if Sheqel is
getting somewhere on MT3, and I'm expecting to see it by the end of the year or
so (although in the next couple of months would be really cool).

oh, dont worry about that; I can change the colours of the
tabs easily, and Jacques uses Minitokyo's stylesheet, so the colours on Jacques
pages are always the same as the rest of the minitokyo page.

* Big Improvements on debugging code.
* I've started work on a user session system (meaning, you log in and Jacques
remembers who are, just like any other website).
* Have planned for a "database abstraction layer", called 'mixedbag';
designed to allow for future expansion (eg, page permissions, DB data
compression or completly new sections for Jacques, like a news system). I'm
going to start on read only support for this after the user session system has
been implimented.

hmm i think i've made a tutorial on how to make a flash music jukebox but I
think it's too complicated to understand right now, I'll make one that's easier
to comphrend once I experiment with it a little and of course, have
time.

of MT) is considering changing layout of MT in the upcoming MT3, if
that happens all the custom userpage design we made will be well, lost.
But if we can get new template and slices I guess we will be ok but

layout for MT3 but we need more of a overwhelming opinion to convince

well doing my userpage today I messed around MT's CSS and found out more stuff so i wrote a follow up guide to vanny's here http://forum.minitokyo.net/showthread/32353/
I was able to fix the template cut where the image is cut about 100 pixel from the top.
Also I posted how to make new content box as well as some other useful little gimimcks.
Well that's about it I'll keep you guys updated, tell me what u think of my guide, I hope it helps i know im not that good with CSS but I try *sigh*
