I'll disagree on that. They made GS very pathetic for me. The artworks of the
earlier Series are, I think, better.

There's more to a Gundam series than how it looks. I suppose that because of the
very nature that Gundam SEED is supposed to introduce new fans to an old concept
(the story of the UC timeline), that it has recieved a lot of contempt from
established Gundam fans. Now, I have more than a few reservations with Gundam
seed, but pretending that I haven't watched any other Gundam series beforehand,
helped in understanding why others might like it so much... but... um, I'm
sorry, but I don't like Destiny (I've been keeping up, however, with the
episodes).
I suppose that, in the end, it's all a matter of preference and timing (which
Gundam series you watched first).
