just totally awesome! <3,
<3 sheqel I added six wallies to the gallery for now. The annoying thing is
you can't add people who aren't in the group =/ So I couldn't add Dioma's
wallie. u_u;;
Thanks for the heads up Tama

also realized that it's being ordered by the number of favorites that the wallie
got...

Oh, and yeah, I fixed the coding Note:
Don't use the word "Float on" as the site thinks its javascript and
disallows its usage. See Minato's, I had to change it to Float_on in order to
bypass it. Anything that might possibly be javascript (even if it isn't) appears
to be disabled now, IMHO for good reason.
i just recently reached Level Twenty. Actually, that has virtually nothing to do
with what I'm going to say, so ignore it.
I've created a group, Schattenrand, whose
primary dedication is to pure, honest (often harshly so), and artistic criticism
of entries in the gallery, and especially of those submissions which its members
have essayed forth. I figured that this would probably be a good place to spread
some real attention about it. Check out the main page, read the info, don't be
scared off by how official I decided to keep the atmosphere. This is really
nothing more than a glorified beatnik hangout.
Like Tama-Neko, I don't really like the idea of nominating one of my own walls,
though this has been kicking around for nearly half a year on MT, and has gotten
absolutely no notice whatever thus far, and it's one of my personal favorites
from my own gallery--and certainly fits in with the idea of simple-ism: Isolation.
i would like to join this group. i'm starting to change my walling style. i
love to make grunge walls but they don't look good on the desktop. simple walls
look the best on your desktop.
i really like zaira's S.L.A.Y.E.R wallie. It
looks really simple but its not too plain, most of it made with basic effects.
Good blending and design makes it pleasing to the eye. ^_^ What do the rest of
you think?
Most of my wallies are simple and for some reasons or another, I really love
simple wallpapers. It looks good on desktops and you just don't get bored of it.
hehehe...
Here are some of my simple wallpapers: The end of hope
- colorful as well as dark. Also, it's not really stunning or hurt the eyes - Paradise
- simple color and warm in the eyes -
*pats 'sake* I just left a comment for drell... really, there was very very
little consensus among the judges about which walls were "good" for
this round. That really struck me when I was looking over the scores with
another judge =/ the scoring was all over the place for lots of people. So you
shouldn't feel bad. I know at least one judge who loved your wallie ^.~
At least I hope that you guys had fun while it lasted
We got third place for both Round 2 and the Collab Round!!
>__________<
*hugs the Simple-ism team*
And, huge congrats to Tama-Neko for a
great first round wallie and crapmonster
for the only second round wallie that scored high enough for an invitation to
round 3!! Please let me know via the forum announcements thread or PM if
you're free to do round 3!!
Can I nominate one of my own works? It feels kinda silly, but... Love & Bullets really
was a labor of love for me, a powerful image because of its simplicity.
I suppose you can guess my views on the Iraqi war, can't you?
*pokes head in* Ano....I am not in any wallie groups yet...and this one seems to
be the most fitting for me. ^_^ Most of my wallies are I guess what you could
call 'simple'. They usually aren't very detailed and have few layers, but they
usually come out very nice anyway. ^^
Here are a couple of my walls for example: Musical Dance - Colorful
and pretty, a simple background made with a gradient, a few filters and brushes.
My Bed Of Roses - This
one I don't think is very good but got me a lot of faves Back To School! - A very
different style from me but with a simple and clear design. Also my first time
with a Carnelian artwork. ^_^
i hope this is a good example and that I will be accepted here. ^_^ Ja ne!
Hii.... sorry for disrupting the flow just when everything seemed to be all
peaceful-like
*COMING SOON IN LATE NOVEMBER*
This is not a group vs group competition, rather individuals from groups to
participate, because we wanted to invite some members from these groups I'm
dropping into, as we believe we can find good quality work from the members- so
it's not a group competition! It's more like an Olympic event where you do not
compete for your country, but rather for yourself ^_^

hungry?

likely be a few spaces for individuals who are just interested who will catch
the official thread sometime in early November or so**

interested in judging ^.^
There are *only* 4 more judging positions open. Judges will be anonymous so
don't tell others if you're applying! Entries are also anonymous xd
i *think* it will actually take place... this is not a false advertisement...
and if it is... I'm so sorry
Indeed. rockiee's new wallie.......
me votes for it. And I was also looking at the nominations and thinking gosh,
you can't really nominate Daybreak's collab wallie and not nominate crap's
version too, LOL, so I put that in the nominations section

XD That has got to be the cuttest siggie-world-domination bunny I've seen around
MT <-- brain still on semi-sleep-sodden/deprived-mode...
I think we are forgetting one very good wall....I'm not sure if I can nominate
another wall, but I'll just say this I
think rocknroll-isgo's Memoirs of a Geisha is really appropriate for simple-ism.
I'll be the first to vote for it ^^ Well, here's the awesome wall: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/185503/
Why do I like this? The reason is simple, the white, blank face of a woman
against a contrasting chaotic black hair. The eyes are enough to tell a story,
when added with text and colours, this wall is really stunning.
Quote by highkneeswell...if we're
voting, I'd really have to vote for minakmel's Vector
Fun - Comic party. The vector is such an excellent job, not only that,
but the characters and the eyes of the char are so dramatic. I think it
is a true definition of simple with the basic and simple image of a
girl, but with colours and lines applied to it in a simple but at the
same time, a emotional way.
*nods* and I just clicked on the link to the "flash video" from which
that wall came from... it was pretty cool ^-^
You did just double vote for a wallie ^.^ I can update the featured gallery on
my userpage again, hehehe.
O.O No, I was completely unaware

What?
I'll log a vote for crapmonster's untitled for style.

Sorry, and thanks.
hi!
i would like to join this group. i'm starting to change my walling style. i love to make grunge walls but they don't look good on the desktop. simple walls look the best on your desktop.
as for the entry requirement, i have only made one simple wall (well, it's the most simple of my walls).
http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/188459/
i really like "Float on..." by Minato.
http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/166270/
i hope i meet the requirements.
i
will continue to make simple walls form now on.
