I've been trying to lean Japanese for a while. I have the Pimsleur audio books
and everything. Not making much progress
I want to go to Japan to teach, but I don't want to be totally useless when I'm
there, need to be able to find stuff and ask for directions.

Good luck with your Japanese studies! Studying the hiragana and katakana can be
really hard and frusterating at first, but stick with it! I'm sure you will do
well, since it sounds like you are really interested in the subject. Let us know
how you do!

what are jutsu? i was looking through my textbook and i found a section about
school and there were a few major listed. one was art. which was bijutsu,
which i thought was interesting since it was the only jutsu listed out of 30
subjects. so yeah. well anyhow. keep it real real, and i guess, oyasuminasae.

tomorrow, that i haven't spent as much time as i have wanted to studying for it.
but alas. maybe this summer or next fall term i'll be able to study at waseda
