My suggestion is just to keep a eye in him. If he continues to make more posts
like that in the forum or on gallery items then report him to a mod for
spamming.
A user named MagicianFairy ( or something like that ) to my knowledge, made a
pretty lousy gallery comment. In other words, had no meaning. I informed him,
and he replied something along the lines of "...I dont care, and im not
deleting it." Check my GB for exact quote if you will.
I have noticed a few instances of him flaming some members, but in those cases
it was in regards to the credit system and the numerous complaints. Although he
does have an image on his userpage that some might think offensive. A mod might
want to check that out. Not sure if it really is a problem though just saying. I
will keep an eye out for his posts. I doubt he'll resort to flaming though he
hasn't done it as of recent.
I currently see no need to actually have a moderator intervene, since I haven't
seen him flame a member myself yet. But please help me keep a eye open and if
you do notice that he is chronically flaming members, then please report those
posts and a mod will go deal with him as necessary. I don't want to have any mod
to intervene without due justification.
I think it would be best if we left this to the mods. They and they alone have
the authority to deal with such matters in the manner to which they feel is
best.
I feel like I am in an evil council =P Anyways, how shall we deal with this...Do
we tell him to fix his ways? or do we just leave him, and let the confusion
flow...
Update on the whole Devildude concern. After reading some of his posts it's
kinda clear he does not help much. His intentions are good but his execution is
quite poor. He doesn't exactly state the reasons for a threads violation of the
rules. Unless someone knows what superlative is they are not going to have a
clue and chances are continue to make more superlative threads. Also he advises
them to read the rules and guidelines for posting but actually does not state
where they are located.
Concerning Devildude, at times he seems a bit too overzealous in his approach
toward reporting members. He even took it upon himself once to give a member a
warning for ripping, when of course none but moderators have the authority. But
that's not the worst of it. Marissa didn't read the ripper's gb clearly enough
and though Devildude's warning was legitimate and thus gave the guy a second
warning when in fast she's the first mod to ever give him one. I had to go
explain to Devildude that he has no authority to give warnings and have him
remove the post and explain it to Marissa. Not quite sure if he's done that
though.
lol
I think people should just keep one eye out for what he does. Perhaps he has
good intentions, but sometimes his methods are a bit over the top, such as
flaming rule violators. When you see that happen, please report his posts.
Yes but if you look on the right side of the screen under favorites all the
groups you are members of are listed.
Indeed but there are other means about which he could have delt with the
situation. I agree it is quite irksome having to deal with the ignorance that
has befallen MT. However one must always try to reconcile the situation in a
calm manner. Flaming a member won't help the situation all it will do is make
matters worse. Other members might see this behavior think it is alright and
then go on flaming other members for asking question that I admit they have the
answer to if they just searched for them.

Or atleast that is the case if they set the userpage settings to full.
In response to SoulScholar's post about groups, I agree that the interface links
on the left while browsing MT v2 completely helped members get to their groups
faster. If they had those links again but also included links to the groups for
members without the interface, then perhaps groups could become very active
again.
I also know Devildude, and I've seen his posts. I believe some of the posts come
out of aggravation for repeated offenses from the members. I could see why he's
that way too, seeing as how there isn't too much improvement and the members
aren't really reading everything surrounding them. Posts that are worse than
that should be reported. I really hope they get the support inquiry back up too
since it was very helpful.
I've seen him around all I can say is ignore him. He doesn't help as much as he
says he does though i have seen his posts and many aren't that constructive. If
he flames report him that's all I can really say. Such behavior is not
tolerated. Especially in regards to the new credit system. Yes alot of people
complain but that is not just warrant to flame them.
I got this weird Guestbook post, see what you guys think:
Quote by Devildudehello, we haven't met
yet, but i notice that you are a very active helper here in MT, must be hard
work eh. Cheers to that.
Just dropping by to say hello, last i noticed is when there was a thread about
god or not who f*cking cares, that practically i reported it without hesitating,
you have written there saying i have learned something new...or something like
that.
Thanks for that, perhaps you might notice that i do help in MT, not that much,
but i am usually more for the fun, i usually help only with repeated threads and
mostly repeated submissions of gallery items and ripped items as my visual
memory is good, i can remember images when i have seen them once in MT.
That said, I salute you for your help here in keeping MT great, and indirectly,
you have inspired me to be a more active helper here, although i am an agressive
flamer at times (visit my userpage and u will know why).
Not that it really matters alot of the group founders have left MT or are MIA.
Besides most members now a days are to occupied trying to gain credits now. Or
atleast that's what I have seen from quite a few members posts
On a different note,I'm starting to hate the way the groups are shown now. Like
you have to go to different categories and find a group. Sure its more
organized, but like, nobody tries to join groups anymore. Its kind of weird.
yeah you have a good point there but I just get the feeling that this credit
system is going to turn out bad. Maybe that's because I'm a pessimist I don't
know. All I know is that now newer members are submitting anything and
everything just for creds. I've see a large increase in ecchi as well as ripped
walls being posted. Also there is a large increase in people requesting
illegally obtainable things espeically music.
I don't really think there's much wrong with the credit system per se. In the
past, people would do similar things with posting scans/walls in order to gain
levels. At the same time, there was a daily submission limit (which doesn't seem
to exist anymore). What is probably needed is more moderation of the forums and
submissions to watch for the garbage.
The art section is getting seriously bad people are just submitting things for
credits now. I just reported one person for submitting 3 different walls using
the same exact scan and simply only changing the background. I've seen so many
say comments and favs would be really appreciated. Also I have noticed a large
wave of ecchi pics being submitted.

Its kind of ironic, that he is trying to help MT to make a better place, and he's part of the problem. =/

Well don't go nuts just report the people that deserve it.
I should actually start reporting people.
I
just usually just tell them what they do wrong...Maybe I should put my foot
down, and own them =P

yeah it is 3/4ths of my FL are gone because of the new MT. I stay, but I don't know why anymore
Its kind of ironic. A huge upgrade, that is suppose to make MT better, makes more people leave.

It did that's wierd maybe it's cuz I jump around to different parts of the site realy quickly. maybe it's just a glitch.

O_O woah I see what you mean now. I have no clue how that happened I only have one MT window open
woa, spytreak, do you have a bunch of different windows of MT open to different places on the site?
because i looked at the front "who's online now" list of members, and your name appeared 12 times. XP
