hello! i'd like to join this group. i'm kinda lazy to make sigs sometimes but i make decent ones. i usually make my sigs small but i don't really care for the size. so if i can join this group, i'll try to be active on my free time since homework is really taking away my time. and i think i'm pretty much done here so bye bye ^^!

What are renders?
Renders are pictures without backgrounds, the character cut out from pictures so its easier to make sigs.

Internet explorer will see it with a blue background, but it will go away in photoshop.. firefox dont see the blue background at all.

Tutorials: Pen Cuting Renders (vector an image for a signature)

Load the picture you would like to cut out and Click the Pen Tool. Then check to see if your settings are the same as mine (2 Red Circles).

Zoom in and start clicking on the border of your picture with the pen tool. Create a path around your render.

Once you have completed your path, Go to the path section (Picture). Right Click Work Path layer and Select Make Selection.... Make it 0 Feather Radius Pixels, Anti-aliased, and Operation is set to New Selection.

Control + C To copy it or Control+Shift+I to inverse the selection and make the rest transparent and you can save the render for later uses. In the pic, I copied the Cut and pasted it onto my new signature. To scale the pic to fit within the signature, go to Edit->Transform->Scale.

Step 1 :

Start by making a new 450 x 150 which I always use when doing sigs and paint it all black.

Take a brush and start brushing with white until you get a result you like, should look something like this :

Now this is where the fun begin, we gotta add some colors and like the strange thing I am I like having more than a color + black and white there so I'll show how to make a multi-color 1. Start by going to Layer > New Adjustmend Layer > Color balance and then move around until you get a color you want for the sig. In my case I choosed a light blue so it would get a feeling of ice.

When you got the color press ok and then with the Color Balance layer go to : Filter > Render > Clouds and it should get a little weaker in color. After you've done this it should look something like this 1

Step 4 :

Now we do exactly the same as we did in step 3 just with another color. I picked a dark blue to keep up the icy look. And just like before you go to Filter > Render > Clouds and now you should have a multi-color background looking something like this :

(Since there's not so much difference on the two colors I picked it's not so visible that it's a multi color sig as if you picked 2 colors standing more out from eachother like blue and red)

Now we gotta add a Render (picture) for pictures to use you can look through
www.Animewallpapers.com Anime Wallpapers.com[/url] and use DragonBlade's Excellent Render cutting tut. When you added the render you can brush a little over the render to make it look a little more 1 with the background but is not needed.

Step 5 : Add some text (which can be found in many cool fonts at www.dafont.com ) and now we can just let it be as it is or we can go on and make a border and some scanlines if you want to. I'll start explaining how you make a border :
A border is the black line that most people add around their sig to make it look more seperate, but some people go on and can make crazy things with a border. I'll show how to make 2 basic borders. First you can just make the black border around your sig, this is very simple, go to Image > Canvas size and skip it to Pixels. next add 2 extra pixels to both Width and Heigth and you have a black border around your sig. Next takes a little more time but the effect is really good -

Make a new layer and pick the Marque tool and set it to Square. Next zoom in as much as possible and start making a 1 pixel square just 1 pixel out from the wallls of the sig. When this is done simply pain it all black and you should have a border in black just a little from the sigs walls.

now you can let it be like this or you can go on and pain the square white and then set the layer to overlay - That will give a lighter color than the rest of the sig in the square.

Hope some1 can find this helpfull and tell me what you guys think of this tut since it's my first time doing 1 ^^ (And I'm not going to make a scanline step too since what looks like scanlines is actually a part of the brushes I used for the tut, Scary isn't it?)
