Here are my thoughts on the latest turn of events. This is also posted on my

Due to MT's asinine new policies, I will no longer be making any submissions to
this site. All of my wallpapers, including the so-called
"inappropriate" ones that were arbitrarily deleted, can be found on my
website
Minitokyo, it was great while it lasted, but I think you're really circling the
toilet now. The downslide started with MT3 and the credit system, but the real
nail in the coffin was the great Google Adsense mandated ecchi purge. I'd prefer
not to remain part of a once-cool site that has been neutered, and I'll instead
post my walls elsewhere where they won't be deleted by random whim and
advertiser fiat. I'm sure I'm not the only one to feel this way.

The Ecchi-club suffers from this for no reason. MT retains the category "
Unknown Ecchi" in its category search. Perhaps they were upset because we
were linking to many pics away from their site, which would be a loss of money
since advertising pays on # of pay views.
This would appear to be a double standard at this point. Ecchi is an art and it
captures women ih thier most beautiful essence. To remove ecchi woukd be not far
from removing ALL female scans or pics from the site. This would about cripple
MT since the "industry" is based on the allure of female characters.
They are used in every day Japan as advertisments.
We are looking at a whole new MT with the removal of ecchi and no one can really
be sure of its future.
That site isn't even cool. It is just some dinky little free hosted site. The
new ecchi club should be on a server that won't fold under a lot of visitors. I
suggest Rikamaru-jp or Gundamknight shell out the money for a domain and
affordable hosting (http://ineedhosting.net) and restart the club from there.
One of them could code something similar to minitokyo or get an Open Source CMS
for the site (http://www.mamboserver.com/). I think moving the ecchi club to a
pre-existing forum would just cripple the club and stuff.

If you take the issue with th eecchi club into historical context, you would
recall that Minitokyo itself was started by Sheqel because deviant art had put a
ban on anime wallpapers. This is similar to our situation now... Ecchi is
basically banned on minitokyo in the same way anime wallpapers were banned from
Deviant Art. If we create a new site for ecchi we can probubly have a good
turnout (we have 1000 members here who would join, and alot of people pissed
about ecchi being banned from Minitokyo). Suggestions...?
