words elf and dwarf are too common. and how bout' a race of giants? not really

i like the different races idea (and draks thief idea sounds pretty good) i've
drawn an elf guy that i'll put up later. he's kind of an assassin type of person
real serious and his face is hidden behind his hair mostly so a real shadey
figure. i guess it would be kind of an interesting plot point that the reason
you don't see many dwarves or elves or things like that is because of anj's
comment. they could all be in some sort of hibernation or comatose state because
of the evil that's spread out from the pieces being all over the place. the evil
aura given off by them could drain the souls of pure creatures like that but
humans are relatively unaffected due to the human race being impure with seeds
of hate and doubt in peoples hearts and such. i figure the only few and far
between dwarves and elves that aren't in hibernation are the ones that have evil
in their hearts or ones that have an incredibly strong spirit. i dunno its just
a thought.

well)... since all of them are human, maybe we should think of an elf or

character: he (or she, in this case it doesn't seem to make any differance...

got no battle skills (okay, he uses daggers and he's pretty good at it, but

also figured he'd be more of a comedy relief (we could make him piss Wint or
Rain off from time to time or something... since both of them seem to be rather
serious people).
As the story would develop, he'd try to fight his cowardness and be prepared to
fight for his friends... that's still just an idea though... plus, it seems that
this one should be human as well (deffinately not dwarf and elves making
villages like humans seems a bit off...), but I think it's a pretty good idea,
so tell me what you guys think.
And yeah, the other demons should react in a way when Balthazar became
powerful... hey, if he stole their powers, maybe they would want them back and
send minor demons into the human world to catch BC's? That way Rain and corps
will have a bonus enemy.

Okay about BC having all kind of powers, i think it could be possible since
balthy was the demon lord for a short while wasn't he... so he could have taken
powers from the other demons (elements) or they could have given some of theirs
to him (which is actually the same in the end).
About fall, i thought of a real leaves-cloack, and yeah it's about what spikes
mentionned : the leaves could get lively or something
Belios is life, but the opposite of life is death... the scrolls can be
corrupted by the demon equivalents of the 5 gods, and give the opposite effect
(so maybe we could have balthy's army divided in two teams, one chasing the BCs
and rain, the other trying to find the scrolls).
@ Drak : i like your idea, i think there should indeed be a character
brainstorming, with detailed info (maybe taking the pattern i used in the chara
profile). Then we can add more characters. I think Wint is a definite member of
the team now, since he's a pretty interesting chara.
About Theo, i think we could have him be some kind of leader (you know since
he's the oldest, he's the one who knows where the things are and everything),
also he could meet some old friends and all. He could also have already
encountered some of the demons (since he is the gods' messenger or something).
I think we'll make an announcement for that. also we should make a thread in the
art lounge for the character design project (maybe the contest should be
postponed, so that first we get the characters, then the contest)
could be pretty cool but maybe some subdemons also that can have an unconfining
design to the elements just to make them look cool and see what comes up?

don't know, maybe it's better to think about when we decided wether Wint stays
or not? propsition: maybe we should make a special (well, contest
seems stupid in this case) announcement for everyone to try thinking of some
main characters and then chosen the best out of given so we could work further
on the story development... after all, I think Rain's team should increase in
number soon after leaving the castle... maybe not in like 5th or 8th chapter,
but we should center it on just Rain and Summer (and somewhat Theo... we should
think of some interesting background and philosophy for him so that he won't
turn out as back-up character).
-I like the demons controling elements too... only one thing that is kinda of a
miss in this idea: things that Belios and Meeve look after... I mean, it seems
out of place for a demon to look after peace or life... if we can think

or that the cloak itself is made of hundreds of leaves woven together to look
like cloth and wen she uses her power the cloak comes appart and attacks (kinda
like the paper sisters clothes from rod tv)?
Either way we could have some real fun with it .
As for bloom the name has an earthy gentle feel to it so i like ^^ .

i reread the section about the demons in the world. it said that the demons do
not have anything to look after, so could i suggest that the demons look after
the same elements as the gods?
example: ignus looks after fire, so we could just assign a demon to look after
it too (so there is a real balance, like, for the fact that fire can be useful
(the good part), but can also be destructive (the bad part)).
but then the name of the demons may change too, maybe the fire demon may have
the name efreet or vulcan or blah blah...
@ buggy : i think you should edit-blank your old announcement ^_^... otherwise
we'll get crowded with them

I've think you've got a nice idea to combine both chapters : we'd have your
thing first, and at the end of it they would get in sight of the castle. Then
we'd move to a flashback, with the same image, but it's rain's father who's
coming back from the castle, maybe with rain on his back or something... they
would go to their house, and we'd have some family atmosphere, and then little
rain would ask his dad to tell him a story... the story about the old gods...
And then we'd move to Drak's chapter, like rain had a daydream

. Autumn are windy months right why not something like that for autumns powers
it's simple but still powerfull (just an idea)
.I like the idea of fall / autumn (whicheva), but spring sounds like a weird
name :P.
. To combine drak & my chapters, why not have like a little dream sequence
of rain as a kid and his dad's telling him a bedtime story that's the legend of
the heveanly wars (of course his face wouldn't be shown like heavy shading
style).
. I like the whole seasons chara idea.
. Fall and wint falling in love is a nice idea.
. When rain and wint first but heads why not make it an ambush.So wint catches
rain off guard and is about to i dunno cut rains head off but summer stops

. As for the races and amount in the group i think humans having majority is

chara profile, it'd be in the brownish / orange colours (well autumn colors

Well, so far, if all the charas are in, we have Rain, Summer, Theo, Wint and
Fall (I thought it was Autumn), so 5 people... it's not that much ("One
Piece" had seven and I won't even mention "Naruto" :wink: )...
Crall is going to appear from time to time after they leave the castle (since so
far he's the main bad guy... we still didn't decide whether Balthazar will
appear or not)... besides, with Summer and Autumn we'll still need Winter and
Spring anyways jk
As for strong opponents, those shouldn't be that much of a problem, since most
of their opponents will be demons and Balthazar's Weapon users, people that are
strong naturally...
Btw, is Autumn already accepted or is she still a pruposal like Wint? I wasn't
around for a while so I guess I might miss it...
Oh, just a thought I got in the last second... kinda weird, but might be an
interesting turn: since Autumn is a Child of Balthazar and Wint is a demon
hunter, it may be interesting for Wint to fell in love with her? (it's just a
pruposal as usual... I guess I have too many ideas in my head... well, since
we're working together, you'll have to get used to that... I always have more
ideas then I can handle

berserker mode... actually i didn't come up with any power of hers, but i don't
know if it's a good idea to have everyone go berserk... maybe we should first
try to find her some lesser powers (though they have to be cool ne?)... anyway
you can still work on the idea, it could be some other type of berserk
Just a thought : why not somehow link the berserk mode of rain with his name ?
maybe we could have a flashback explaining he was named rain not right at his
birth, but because he had his first berserk transformation (at young age), and
that would have been the beggining of his friendship with summer (like he could
have been upset because a pet or anything he like was taken away from him....
okay big cliche here). anyway it would have been raining that day, and he'd have
used water to fight... not really an elemental you know, but combining the rain
with his sword, making it liquid so that when you want to parry it, it actually
doesn't stop on the sword, but goes "around" it. and solid (like a
normal sword) when you counter. otherwise, when he weaves his sword, he'll send
"teardrops" (whoa cool) that are hard and cutting.
Finally, i guess he'd have physical modif as well, like his hair and stuff... i
think changing the clothes though might be too much ^_^...
But the changes will have to make him look more evil of course, since it's
balthy's piece that awakes !

I've think you've got a nice idea to combine both chapters : we'd have your thing first, and at the end of it they would get in sight of the castle. Then we'd move to a flashback, with the same image, but it's rain's father who's coming back from the castle, maybe with rain on his back or something... they would go to their house, and we'd have some family atmosphere, and then little rain would ask his dad to tell him a story... the story about the old gods... And then we'd move to Drak's chapter, like rain had a daydream
Of course, the flashback would have a blurry feeling to it as you suggested

There r 2 many posts 2 refer 2 directly so i'll make short points :P (not in any particular order though lol)

. Autumn are windy months right why not something like that for autumns powers it's simple but still powerfull (just an idea)
.I like the idea of fall / autumn (whicheva), but spring sounds like a weird name :P.
. To combine drak & my chapters, why not have like a little dream sequence of rain as a kid and his dad's telling him a bedtime story that's the legend of the heveanly wars (of course his face wouldn't be shown like heavy shading style).
. I like the whole seasons chara idea.
. Fall and wint falling in love is a nice idea.
. When rain and wint first but heads why not make it an ambush.So wint catches rain off guard and is about to i dunno cut rains head off but summer stops him.
. As for the races and amount in the group i think humans having majority is good.

Fall is still just an idea, but i thought it would be good to have another child of darkness join them... i believe she wouldn't have a big piece of balthazar, thus maybe she can't turn berserk...

About colors : i don't know about rain, but with fall, as i depicted in the chara profile, it'd be in the brownish / orange colours (well autumn colors lol)... and maybe her powers could involve leaves or stuff ne ?

Well, so far, if all the charas are in, we have Rain, Summer, Theo, Wint and Fall (I thought it was Autumn), so 5 people... it's not that much ("One Piece" had seven and I won't even mention "Naruto" :wink: )... Crall is going to appear from time to time after they leave the castle (since so far he's the main bad guy... we still didn't decide whether Balthazar will appear or not)... besides, with Summer and Autumn we'll still need Winter and Spring anyways

As for strong opponents, those shouldn't be that much of a problem, since most of their opponents will be demons and Balthazar's Weapon users, people that are strong naturally...
Btw, is Autumn already accepted or is she still a pruposal like Wint? I wasn't around for a while so I guess I might miss it...
Oh, just a thought I got in the last second... kinda weird, but might be an interesting turn: since Autumn is a Child of Balthazar and Wint is a demon hunter, it may be interesting for Wint to fell in love with her? (it's just a pruposal as usual... I guess I have too many ideas in my head... well, since we're working together, you'll have to get used to that... I always have more ideas then I can handle

I wonder though, how come it'd be summer who ask wint not to kill rain ? since i mean rain is uber strong (in berserk mode that is, maybe he doesn't turn evil at the time he's fighting against wint).
The problem is, if we keep wint and fall, we'll start to have many members joining the team. We need to give them strong opponents
@julian1 : i'm gonna comment now, but first thing is : i never knew fall had a berserker mode... actually i didn't come up with any power of hers, but i don't know if it's a good idea to have everyone go berserk... maybe we should first try to find her some lesser powers (though they have to be cool ne?)... anyway you can still work on the idea, it could be some other type of berserk
Just a thought : why not somehow link the berserk mode of rain with his name ? maybe we could have a flashback explaining he was named rain not right at his birth, but because he had his first berserk transformation (at young age), and that would have been the beggining of his friendship with summer (like he could have been upset because a pet or anything he like was taken away from him.... okay big cliche here). anyway it would have been raining that day, and he'd have used water to fight... not really an elemental you know, but combining the rain with his sword, making it liquid so that when you want to parry it, it actually doesn't stop on the sword, but goes "around" it. and solid (like a normal sword) when you counter. otherwise, when he weaves his sword, he'll send "teardrops" (whoa cool) that are hard and cutting.
Finally, i guess he'd have physical modif as well, like his hair and stuff... i think changing the clothes though might be too much ^_^...
But the changes will have to make him look more evil of course, since it's balthy's piece that awakes !
